Rose "pov"

"Hello rose" Ella says hugging me "hey Ella" I reply hugging her back "rose you finally came" demi said smiling at me standing to hug me as well
"Hello everyone sorry for being late" I say to the guys with a smile giving them a quick hug each 
"no it's okay we were just talking about funny memory" lois says trying not to laugh at the way jack was glaring at him
"nice to see you again rose" nick says smiling at me standing beside ella, ella side hugged him and he looked down at her with love, god I wish if I had someone to look at me the same way he looks at her
"me too nick" I replied smiling at him "this is my best friend nadine, nadine this is lois, nick, ella, demi, lucas, my boss jack ,and as you know chris" I say to her pointing at the person when i say his name
"hello, nice to meet you all" nadine said smiling shyly and chris oh chris he didn't move his eyes from her, okay he's defiantly not gay
"where's sam?" asked chris whose sitting beside jack on the couch "he just text me saying he's on his way" I said taking a seat on the couch in front of the guys, nadine is on my left while demi on my right

"looks like he is already here" says nick looking at something behind me, I looked over my should to see sam talking to the host and the host bowed to him and left, his eyes met mine and he smiled
"hello" sam says standing beside my couch, I stood up to greet him "hello sami" I say giving him a quick hug "everyone this is sam" i looked at sam again "sam, this is lois, nick, lucas ,chris, nick, ella, and as you know jack, demi and nadine" I say again pointing my finger at each one
"nice to meet you all, and nice to see you again demi, jack" says sam giving jack almost a hard look, no one noticed it ofcourse except me and jack because jack gave him a killing glare
"hello to you too sam" says nadine sarcastically, sam chuckled "sorry, nadine I just saw you this morning" says sam trying to sit far away from her

he knows Nadine like I do, so he was trying to safe his self, did I mention that Nadine works at sam's company , she works as the personal assistant for the engineer manager department, he's in his fifties and really nice and funny, she's lucky to work for someone like him

He sat on the other side of jack
"hello demi how have you been?" Sam asked demi who her face turned red like she just run a marathon "am fine, how about you?" she replies looking at him shyly and I could tell he was enjoying this, Sam loves the shy type of a girl
I removed my gaze from them to look at Chris who was totally flirting with nadine, and she didn't seem to mind
I looked at Sam and demi then Chris and nadine and nick and Ella, Lois and Lucas were having an argue about cars I think! everyone seemed to be in his own world at the moment

It's only me and jack who were left aside , I looked at jack , he was looking down at his phone with narrowed angry eyebrows like he just read something he didn't like, Chris noticed it and looked at jack's phone "don't worry man, we will find something to do, everything is going to be alright" Chris whispers to jack but I could hear them, I mean why wouldn't i? everyone is busy talking except me, but what is going on? did something bad happened at work

"I hope so" jack replied with a sigh looking up to meet my eyes and In a split of a second he removed his gazed from me like it burned him, I felt rejected he doesn't have to act this way towards me I mean he was the one who played me and said he can't be with me, now what! am just something awful to look at
"those are not normal like us rose" nadine whispered in my ear and I chuckled "I liked the place, nadine you were right" I say smiling looking around the place trying to avoid looking at jack
"yeah I told you so" nadine replied smiling back "am glad you like it" chris says looking between me and nadine and I gave him a smirk and he narrowed his eyebrows at me playfully, he knew what I meant
nadine just smiled shyly looking down, this is the first time I saw her acting like this, she looked really cute
"the place is my idea but my friend lois took care of the decoration here, we needed a place to meet and to feel cozy at the same time" chris said like it's not something big looking at nadine with smiley eyes
