Rose "pov"

I just woke up crashing my pillow between my hands, I couldn't sleep at all last night, it was like a dream, I had to pinch myself about ten times after he left to make sure I wasn't dreaming

After taking a shower and brushing my teeth, i got dressed in a tight dark orange skirt that hugged my body perfectly with a black blouse, I matched it with my black heels and golden shoulder bag, I wore my necklace, I've put on some nude lipstick and mascara
I had to ride with james again because demi still got my car keys, she wouldn't get away with this

I just stepped out of the elevator, I went straight to my desk, jack isn't here yet, I mean ofcourse he isn't it's still eight thirty, god am so early

It's almost twelve in the afternoon and jack didn't come yet! And I was freaking out ! is he going to act the same way he did before? is he going to push me away again? he didn't say anything about me and him being a couple, I was feeling nervous, the happiness I was feeling fade away and replaced with fear

I was knocking my pen on my desk thinking of all the possibilities why he didn't show up yet ? maybe he woke up this morning thinking he did a huge mistake and now he's regretting it and ran away, I was lost in my thoughts and I didn't notice that there was someone calling my name
"rose are you okay?" I heard jack's worry voice talking to me, I looked up to see him looking at me with worry eyes
"rose are you okay? did something happen?" he asked again "am fine, why?" I replied feeling nervous all of a sudden "I was calling your name for a while now and you didn't seem to hear me, I thought something bad happened" he says with relieved look
"am sorry sir, you didn't show up I thought something happened" I say shyly looking down
"not sir, jack and no nothing just family issue, everything is fine" he says with soft green eyes, god how I missed his eyes
He opened the door to his office and went in, I followed right after him like usual " you have only one meeting today with the former vice manager of the wood factory here in new york, he was fired because he almost burned the whole place last month" I say looking at him removing his jacket and placing it on the couch
"it's not important I was about to close that factory anyway, the one in Texas is making more process, I don't see why I have to meet him, cancel it" he says taking a step closer to me, he was only three feet away from me
"okay" I say almost whispering, his presence makes my legs like jelly and he didn't even touch me yet

"rose" he says with husky tone and paused, I love the way he says my name "yes si...jack" I say shyly feeling my heart beating fast
"i..i was wondering if you're free tonight, would you go out with me.....on a date" he asked rubbing the back of his neck nervously, I could tell he never have done this before
This intelligent powerful sexy man the one i want is asking me out, I was so lost staring at his beautiful features that I forgot to answer him
"am.. am sorry I shouldn't have asked you...if you're not interested that's ..." before he could finish his sentence I interrupted him "I would love to "I say shyly looking at him and his cheeks had a shade of pink, oh my god he was blushing I made this tough guy blush, he looks so cute that I want to pinch and kiss his adorable cheeks

"I will pick you up from your office after work" he says taking a step closer to me with the perfect smile playing on his face
"don't be late" I say softly chuckling at him, he took a step closer, his face is only one inch away from mine, I could smell his powerful cologne, it's like a drug
His head was leaning down, his eyes are fixed on my lips, I bite my lower lip, waiting desperately for his lips to meet mine but it never did, he was looking at something behind me with deadly furious eyes

"sorry have I interrupted something?" chris's voice came from behind me, I looked over my shoulder to see a smirk playing on chris's face leaning on the door frame
"yes you did, what do you want?" jack asked him not moving from his place
"nothing I just came to say hi, and rose thanks to you I have a date with nadine this week" chris says with a smile walking towards us
"am happy for the both of you" I say smiling back at him, his hands stretching out like he was going to hug me, jack placed his hand on my waist and brought me closer to his body
"relax man, am about to have a girlfriend" chris says chuckling at jack's action "I pray for her already" jack says mockingly
"see you tomorrow" chris says hugging the other empty side of jack's body but ended up hugging me to "good bye" I say smiling
