"Rose "pov

It's been more than a week from the last time I talked to jack, whenever I see him he just ignores me like I never existed, everything happened that day seemed like it never did, sometimes I feel like am being watched even though nothing happened, maybe that woman mistook me with someone else, or at least that's what I came up with after realizing I won't get any info about it

I was sitting behind my desk lost in my thoughts when I noticed James is standing next to me

"hello rose, how are you? you look pale" James asked me with concern

"hello James, no am fine, how about you?" I reply trying to smile

I don't really know what to say to him, am sad because my boss saved my life from whatever that was and then ignored me? There is no way am saying this he would think am dying for his attention, but aren't i, no rose you're not, I've been having this inside battle for a week and it seems there's no winning

"well rose, you know the two weeks are done and you are no longer under my observation and as expected you got the permanent job but .." he says with sorry eyes

" but..." I reply waiting for him to continue I mean why there have to be but..

"Mr. Robbins asked for you to work as his personal assistant, since he fired the last one two weeks ago he didn't find anyone appropriate for the job so he asked for you" he said studying me

He wants me to be his PA is he kidding me ? i can't understand that man's mind, how does it function? ignoring me and then boom work right under him, is he crazy or something?

"what ! Why?"I asked almost yelled at James who didn't look surprise at my reaction

"he asked for you, you could ask him directly, sorry rose for this, I wish I could do something" James says with a sad smile

Last week when I moved to my new apartment it turned out James is my neighbor, his apartment is right next to mine, he is living with his cousin Justin, they've been living there a week before I did, I was happy at least I know someone nice in that building.

"I will, and don't give me that look James it's okay, all you did is pass the massage, besides he is my boss so what other option I got, I'll be fine" I say to James with assurance smile, he don't have to feel bad about this, I will go talk to jack and pray to understand what is in his mind

I went straight to jack's office, I knocked on the door and when I heard come in I did, he was sitting behind his desk reading something on his computer, he looked stunning as always, the dark blue suit that made his tanned skin look perfect but all those ideas vanished once I remembered the way he treated me the past days

"hello Mr.Robbins, you asked for me?" I say politely once i walked in and stood in front of his desk

"yes ms.lawarence, take a seat" he said without taking a glance at my direction, back to level one I thought to myself, I took a seat on one of the chairs that were in front of his desk, trying to sit comfortable in the tight red skirt am wearing

"I assume Mr. King already told you, you may think it maybe an easier job but it's not" jack said with full business tone looking at me
