chapter 10

Rose "pov"

The room is huge with double sized bed, a balcony door covered by beige curtains, two chairs and table in the corner of the room, and full length mirror with a small desk beside it , the walls are beige with a brown carpets, it's like i was in modern castle, everything looked so elegant and classy yet modern
I took a quick shower, changed my clothes to a simple tight knee dark blue dress, brushed my hair and left it down, put some makeup on just a light pink lipstick and mascara, i wore my necklace and a silver bracelet, I matched the dress with a dark blue heels and dark pink purse

I prepared my notebook and the files needed at the meeting, I checked my phone watch to see an hour left before the meeting, I was getting really bored
I opened the balcony door and went outside, the sky was dark, the view is amazing, there is a huge swimming pool and the lights are on, a band singing jazz song I think, I couldn't hear what was the lyrics from this high, I looked up at the space, the moon shines in the dark sky, i took a deep breath inhaling the fresh air and stood there staring at the moon

"it's beautiful isn't it?" I heard a familiar man's voice from my left, I turned my head to see jack standing out in his balcony staring at me, he's balcony was attached to mine.

"yes it is" I reply looking back at the moon "nothing could ever be more beautiful" jack says with a low tone, I saw from the corner of my eyes that he's still looking at me, for unknown reason I felt like he was talking about me, but I knew it can't be true

We stood there staring at the moon for some time before I noticed that jack had went inside, I heard a knock on my door and I went to get it
"Are you ready? the meeting is in ten minutes" jack says standing in front of my door, looking devilishly sexy in his black Armani suit, I didn't feel the time pass by
"just a second, let me grab my things" I say walking  inside my room leaving the door open, after taking my purse, notebook and the files I need, i went out of the room closing it behind me to find jack standing infront of the elevator talking on the phone.
"okay, I love you too" I heard him say before hanging up
who was he talking to? I felt slight of pain the idea of him saying I love to another girl pained me, so he got a girlfriend after all there is no way he didn't, look at him, and he is in love, maybe it's demi she's perfect after all, I felt like I want to go back to my room and cry, but am in no place to talk he isn't mine, there is nothing between us, I think I just have to get use to this and keep those feelings for myself, he wouldn't want anything to do with me if he knew I liked him and am sure he won't be shocked cause am not the first one who fell for him in a short time
He was typing something on his phone and when he felt my presence, he looked up facing me "let's go" he said pressing the elevator button and putting his phone back in his pocket, the door slide open in a second

The whole meeting I couldn't think of anything else except of the phone call from earlier, why didn't he tell me he's in relation, at a second thought why would he tell me? am not his friend or family am just a girl who works for him, I was writing notes without paying attention to anything that have been said

"ms.lawarenve, I said the meeting is over" jack's voice brought me out of my thoughts
he was standing next to my chair looking down at me, I looked around to see we're the only two left
"are you okay ms.lawarence?" jack asked me with worry look
"am fine, am .." I was interrupted by him "let's go to dinner" he said waiting for me to stand up I wouldn't argue with that, I've been starving since i got here so i just followed after him

we ate in silence, I could feel that he looks at me now and then but he didn't say anything, I think he knew there was something bothering me but he decided to keep his mouth shut, And am grateful for that, if he did ask me I wouldn't know what to answer, hey I really like you well I think I even love you and I am jealous because you have a girlfriend, yup that sounds creepy...
we were standing in front of my room door now "I want the notes to be ready by tomorrow's noon" he said with a calm tone
