My heart isn't the place for a girl like you.

I didn't speak to Hunter for the rest of the lesson. In fact every English lesson that week, I didn't speak to him.

The weekend couldn't come fast enough and soon I was packing my car with beach gear. Eleanor handed me the last ice bag before climbing into the passenger side.

"I've been waiting for this beach day ever since we got back" William said climbing into the back.

I slipped into the drivers side. "You guys got back yesterday" I said laughing.

"Exactly" Eleanor replied.

I started the car and she turned up the music. "I love this song!" She exclaimed.

I shook my head smiling as she wound the window down. Wind blew her hair behind her as she laughed into the open air. "Ellie get your face back inside before a car wipes it off" William said disapproving.

Eleanor just flipped get brother off.

I laughed.

It was an hour to the beach and I turned down the music. "Hey Will" I said, looking at him in the rearview mirror.

He looked up from his book, pushing his sunglasses up to his hair. "That offer to go to the dance, does it still stand?" I asked.

William's eyes widened and Eleanor shot her brother a look I couldn't recognise. "Uh yeah" he stuttered.

I smiled. "Than I accept your offer" I replied.

He grinned turning his head away. "Okay enough with the cute stuff!" Eleanor exclaimed cranking the music up.

The song, my friends and the open road. It made me feel free. "Hey Ellie!" I exclaimed.

She stuck her face back inside to look at me
"Take the wheel my dear!" I exclaimed.

"Jamie!" She yelled as I let the wheel go.

Her hands latched onto the wheel, controlling the car. I wound down my window and climbed up my seat.

I rested my stomach on the window as I screamed excitedly in the air. I pumped my fist and I heard laughter. I fell back into my seat grabbing the wheel again.

"We could have gotten into another accident" William whispered, leaning towards me as Ellie copied my movements.

He stuck his head between the seat and the door. "Could have" I replied.

"That was reckless J" he said.

I turned my head to look at him. "And it felt fûcking fantastic" I replied grinning.

He rolled his eyes. "Hey Will, why don't you try it" I said.

He shook his head. "Aww come on, its not like you don't have something to yell about" I said.

I felt him play with a strand of my hair. "Nope, right now everything's perfect" he said.

"Do it anyway" I replied.
