It is not the end,
For the stories live on,
In all of us."Any luck?" I asked, looking down at the ground.
Hunter shook his head. "Sorry babe, it disappeared" he replied.
I sighed. "I'm moving out, in no way will I live here with a damn spider" I said, a little dramatic.
"It's harmless" he said, still on the ground.
"No spider is harmless, they're all killers!" I exclaimed.
Hunter shook his head and sighed before standing up and brushing off his jeans. "Come on, we'll be late for class" he said, reaching out to grab my hand.
I sighed. Class. Why did I come to college again?
Oh right, the dream of getting out of Glassdale.I had been so worried lately, so stressed and I knew why. The spider wasn't the only thing that was worrying me. Eleanor hadn't got back to me and I began to worry if it was because she didn't want to hurt my feelings. "Babe" Hunter's voice said.
I snapped out of my daze and looked at him. "Grab your bag" he said pointing to it.
In all honesty, I didn't know what I would've done this past week with Hunter. He had kept me quite sane, always reminding me that reality was a thing.
For the whole week we've been here, not once as he slept in his bed. He had slept beside me and held my hand.
The first day walking into school was quite interesting. Hunter's reputation and my reputation seemed to float from high school to college.
The only people we've seen from school was Logan and Jacob. They waved at us in the halls but that was it. Hunter and I found ourselves sitting with Avery and her friend Eloise.
They were cool, joked around a lot and Avery seemed to get along with Hunter more than I liked.
But other than that, life was good.Except for the never ending answer to see if my brother was alive or not.
Hunter took my hand, helping me down the stairs. I had twisted my ankle that morning, tripping over my bag as I got out of bed. Hunter had helped me up laughing until he realised I was limping.
"Earth to Jamie" his voice said, his hand waving in front of my face.
I zoned back in. "Sorry" I apologized again.
Hunter stopped me on the grass, turning to face me. "Are you okay? Is the anything we need to talk about?" He asked.
I shook my head, grabbing his hand. "I'm just tired and my body wants to go back to bed" I lied.
It was probably bad that I was lying to my boyfriend but Hunter worried too much and I was fine, just stressed. "Your thinking about Eleanor and Brenden" he said, crossing his arms.
He wasn't mad, just defensive. Hunter never liked it when I worried about other people. But how could I not. He would potentially be my brother. I just had to suck it up and at least act okay in front of him.
I stood up on my tippy toes and went to kiss him but he stepped back. I landed back on the ground. "You can't keep avoiding this conversation with kisses and distraction, Jamie I just want to know if you're okay" he said, hurt crossing his face.
