Chapter 20: Double Up

Peter felt himself face plant into the ground. All he could remember was working with Tony on a new machine and then something had happened. He quickly recalled that Tony and him were attacked by the new mutated goblin and that he used a machine on Peter and a flash of white light had happened.He quickly stood up as he looked around a warehouse. He then stood their in shock as he saw himself standing their. He looked at the lookalike and spoke in shock."Okay. I must be daydreaming.Man,mom was right about pulling all those all nighters". The other Peter looked at him confused before speaking as he quickly got into a fighting stance and charged at Peter.The other Peter then spoke as our Peter dodged the punch."Okay you have to be an illusion by Mysterio". Peter scuffed at this as he responded angrily as he shot out a web around the other Peter's legs and pulled him down hard as the other Peter did the same thing causing both of them to fall to the ground hard."Please. Fishbowl head can't fake me. Plus he can't even make clones if he's in jail. Look let's just chill out and talk about this". The other peter(Just going to call him, Parker to tell the difference) agreed to this as they both took off their masks to talk.

The two teens talked about themselves and how they each got their powers and suits. Parker looked at Peter and spoke."So in your world your mother is the black widow?. The avenger?". Peter nodded at this as he smiled proudly before speaking."Yup. Black widow is my mom". Parker looked at Peter amazed."So are you an avenger?". Peter looked at Parker nervous of what to say and then proceed to speak."No not yet,at the moment". Parker eyed him and then remembered something else had came out from the portal."Oh yeah before you came out of the portal,some weird creature came out of it". Peter looked at Parked surprised before speaking"That must of been the gob.....". Suddenly the two are attacked by Mysterios. The two quickly dodged the barrage of blast from Mysterio as he closed in on them with a knife. The two then shot out webs that became stuck together. They then used the webs to strike Mysterio down as he became nothing more than smoke. Peter looked over to Parker and spoke."Okay i know your fishbowl head is still on the loose,but why would he attack us out of the blue?". Parker looked at Peter before answering his question."He sort of does that. But the knife was new. What do you think he wanted?". Peter just shrugged at Parker's response as the two left the warehouse and swung away.

Meanwhile the Goblin stood on a skyscraper as Mysterio appeared next to him. Goblin looked at Mysterio and spoke."Mysterio did you acquire the blood of this world's spider man?". Mysterio looked at the Goblin and answered the question."No i did not.Your world's spider man was there to stop me". Goblin snarled at this as he grabbed Mysterio and bered his razor sharp teeth."You have one more chance to get me the blood!. Fail me and i will not hesitate to kill you right on the spot!". Mysterio nodded as he became nothing more than smoke. Goblin stood their as he waiting to see if Mysterio will fail him.

In times square the two Peters had changed back in their civilian clothes as they walked the streets. Peter was impressed by Parker's watch and he could store his suit in it and he was more impressed by the fact that Parker was the one who had made his spiderman suit without any help from Tony Stark. He had also learned that aunt may was still alive in this world and that uncle ben had died because of a criminal,which had caused Parker to become Spider-man.As the two were walking Peter saw billboards of the avengers,fantastic four, and one that said "no more mutants".Parker looked at them and spoke to Peter."How does it feel to be known?". Peter looked at him confused and spoke."What do you mean?". Parker then sighed as he answered Peter's question."I mean to have people know who you are.People in my world don't know who spider man is and to top all that i have a school dance coming up and i was lucky enough to get a date with Gwen stacy,while also trying to capture Mysterio once and forall". Peter looked at him with shock. This world's Gwen was still alive. He then started to think about how he had gotten so known as a hero in his world. All because a person had recorded him capturing a bad guy and posting it on youtube. Peter then looked at Parker and spoke."Don't worry man. Just give it time and by then People will know who Spider man is and how great of a hero he is. Trust me i know. When i was first starting out some guy called me flying squirrel". Parker smiled at this as he thanked Peter. The two then started talking when suddenly Mysterio had appeared with armed soldiers. The two teens quickly ran into an alley and changed into their spider suits as they proceed to help People out of danger.

The soldiers fired at them,but both teens dodged with ease as they proceed to take down each of the soldiers one by one as they made their way towards Mysterio. Mysterio charged at the two and blasted them. He had then pulled a knife as he had managed to cut Parker. Parker let out a scream of pain as Mysterio took out a veil and proceed to take some of Parker's blood. Peter quickly interfered by web swing kicking Mysterio. He then rushed over to Parker as Parker held his arm."Okay,Now i really want to put him in jail more badly than ever". Parker and Peter then charged at Mysterio as the two had managed to land a punch. Mysterio's helmet had cracked bit as he stumbled back. He looked at the two Spider men and sneered."Fools, i have already acquired what i needed". He held up the veil of blood as he had vanished at the spot. Peter and Parker both shot out a web as they Proceed to swing away as the cops had arrested the soldiers. Meanwhile Mysterio had given Goblin the veil of Parker's blood causing the Goblin to smile sinisterly. The goblin looked at Mysterio and smiled."Excellent work,Mysterio. Now to complete my end of our bargain. To hurt Spider-man the most,go after the ones who cares about the most". Mysterio nodded at this as he had vanished. The Goblin smiled as one phase of his plane was complete. He then held up the siege perilous and opened a portal and walked through it as he got ready to travel to another dimension.

The two Peter had seen the portal open and Peter knew he did not have much time left. He looked at Parker and spoke."Guess this is goodbye". Parker looked at him and nodded."Thanks for the talk earlier. Hope you can get back to your world". The two then fistbumped as Peter spoke to him."No matter what this world is lucky to have Spider man like you. And,oh please protect your Gwen". Parker nodded at this as Peter swung away and entered the Portal after the Goblin. His journey to find his way back home had only just started.
