Chapter 41:Madame Web

Ten years ago:
Natasha had picked Peter up from school as the five year old had gotten sick. Natasha looked at Peter as she had seen him look at her worried."Peter honey whats wrong?". Peter looked at his mother and spoke."Mommy. Am i adopted?". Natasha looked at Peter with a shock expression as she hoped that he would never ask her that question. She knelt down to his level and spoke to him in her motherly tone."Peter honey, yes you are. I'm sorry i didn't tell you i was waiting until you we're a bit older to tell you,but how did you find out?". Peter looked at Natasha and spoke."I heard you and Uncle Clint talking and he said something about telling me that i was adopted". Natasha tried her best not to get angry at Clint and spoke calmly to Peter."Peter you're my son no matter what. Never forget that okay". Peter nodded his head as he hugged his mother."And you will always be my mommy". Natasha smiled at this and hugged her son back. She then broke up the hug as the two walked to Natasha's car and drove away to their home.

Present Day:
Peter had hung upside down from the ceiling of his room as he was talking to Ned and Mary Jane. The two had gotten used to Peter's powers as he would often use them in front of them after they had learned that he was Spider-Man."Man i can't believe a year is about to pass since i became Spider Man. It still feels like yesterday i was being bullied by Flash". Ned nodded."Yeah. Dude last month you took down a flying monster guy and all those other bad guys. Still gonna try to be an Avenger right?". Peter nodded at this."Yup. I'm still gonna be an Avenger in my own way,not with a spot being offered to me". Mary Jane laughed at this."Peter. You have a long way to go then". Peter rolled his eyes at this as he jumped off the ceiling to the ground. Peter looked at Mary Jane and spoke."I know,but i know they're ready for me to join them". Mary jane and Ned smiled at this as the two had said goodbye to Peter and left the compound. Peter then walked over to his bed and took out his suit and looked at it."Man. I've been around as a hero for a year already. Spider man is still gonna be around for the longest time". Peter smiled at this as he put the suit on and walked out of his room as he was ready to go on Patrol.

Peter swung around as he had stopped a few minor crimes. He had landed on a building as he noticed his half sister land next to him. Peter looked at her and spoke."Hey sis. How you doing?". Jessica looked at her half brother and spoke."Pretty good.Just finished a mission,but i came here to see you". Peter looked at his sister confused."Did i do something wrong?". Jessica shook her head as she walked over to her half brother."There's someone who wants to see you. She's at the helicarrier waiting". Peter nodded at this as Jessica swung away with Peter following from close behind. The two siblings made their way to the helicarrier and landed on the main deck. The two then entered the helicarrier and made their way to Fury's office as they took off their masks.

The two then entered Fury's office to see an angry Natasha standing in front of Madame Web as Natasha yelled at her angrily."There is no way that i'm letting Peter go!!"."Mom?" Natasha turned around at this as she looked at Peter with a bit of shock"what happening?". Madame Web smiled at this as she walked over to the teen. Peter looked at her and instantly knew where he had seen her from before."You're that lady. The lady who was their when Fury and my birth mother had saved me from the plane crash". Madame Web smiled at this."indeed. I am Madame Web". Peter looked at her and then at his mother. Madame Web then spoke."I have come to see you young Romanoff. For you to make a decision". Peter looked at Madame Web confused as she just smiled. Natasha quickly made her way to Peter and grabbed him defensively as am a spider web had appeared before them showing off all the different realities with each spider man and woman being shown in one part of the web. Peter looked at the web amazed as Madame Web spoke."You know of the existence of all the different realities,but you do not know of the war between two groups of Spiders". The web then showed the image of two teams made up of both different spider men and women on a battlefield."i would like for you and your sister to join the war on the team that is fighting for what's right. Team Amazing". Peter looked at her and then at his mother as he felt her grip on him tighten. Natasha growled at Madame web and yelled at her."I'm not sending my son to fight in war between other spiders. He is gonna stay here. I won't lose him again". Peter looked at his mother and spoke."Mom. They need me. I promise to come back safe. Me and Jess will both come back safe and sound". Jessica nodded at this as she spoke to Natasha."Mrs.Romanoff. i promise to take care of my brother. I'll make sure that nothing bad happens to him".

Natasha looked at the teens surprised by their statements. She looked at them and then grabbed the two and hugged them."Promise me. That both of you will come back as soon as you can". Peter nodded and hugged his mother back as Jessica did the same. The two siblings then spoke in unison."We promise to come back as soon as we finish this war". Natasha let go of the two teens as Madame Web opened the portal to teleport them to their team. Peter looked at his mother and quickly hugged her."I promise to be safe mom. I'll make it back this time as fast as i can". Natasha smiled at this and hugged her son back."Promise me my son. To be safe". She then broke the hug as she kissed Peter on the forehead. Peter nodded and walked to his Sister as the two put their masks on. Peter looked at his sister."You ready sis?". Jessica nodded at her brother's question."Ready as i'll ever be bro". The two siblings then walked into the portal as it closed. Natasha looked at the portal as it closed and spoke under her breath."Please come back safe". Madame Web then looked at the Web of realities as it showed an image of Peter and Jessica. The spider civil war has begun.
