Chapter 23: Iron widow

Peter had landed on top of a building as the portal had closed. He looked around and saw that he was back in new york. He of course knew that this was too good to be true. He looked around and to his surprise he saw Avenger's tower."It can't be. Am i really home?.Only one way to find out". He then shot out a web and swung over to avenger's tower. Once he had entered he was attacked by a woman wearing a black iron man suit. She fired a repulsor beam at the teen who had quickly dodged it with ease. The woman then spoke angrily towards the teen."How dare you wear that suit. That is an insult to his name!". Peter quickly dodged all of the woman's attack as he saw what looked like Hulk wielding mjolnir charge at him. Peter had dodge him with ease as he then saw what looked like to be a fusion of Captain America and Falcon,Hawkeye and War Machine, and Scarlet Witch and Vision ready to fight him. Peter looked around as he had no choice but to surrender. He quickly placed himself on the floor as he spoke under his breath."I'm definitely not home". The woman in armor than placed power restraints on his arms as she took off her helmet to reveal herself to be Natasha. Peter stared in shock as the hawkeye war machine man took him to a holding cell.

Meanwhile in Peter's world. Natasha was sitting in her room looking through old photos of her and Peter in a photo album. She had seen pictures of his sixth birthday party,his first steps,and a picture of both her and her son with Bruce banner. She then heard someone knock on her door as she went to go see who it was. She opened it and saw Steve standing their. He looked at her and spoke in a concerned tone." Hey can i come in?". Natasha nodded as she let him into her room. He saw the pictures and proceed to pick up the one of Natasha holding an infant Peter. He saw how happy Natasha looked in the picture, and to see her depreste had made him feel guilty for not being their to save Peter. He looked at Natasha and spoke."We'll get him back. Right now all we can do is wait,but it must be hard for you to not have him near you". Natasha nodded at this and spoke."First Bruce,now my son.I just want my son back. Ever since i adopted him,he's been the light of my life and i wasn't there to protect him. I'm his mother and i couldn't protect him. He looks up to me and tries his best to make me more proud of him even when he was just a baby. I still remember when he said his first word". Natasha smiled as she remembered when Peter had first called her mama. She then looked at Steve as a look of empathy was on his face. As he handed the picture back to Natasha. He looked at her and spoke."Natasha, you just need to know that it wasn't your fault. Tony is almost done with the machine and once it's finished he'll be back and happy to see you". Natasha smiled at Steve as he walked out of the room with Natasha going back to looking at pictures of her son. She stopped one that read my mommy is my hero as it showed a younger Peter hugging his mother who was in full gear in the photo. She looked at the picture as she let a tear slide down her cheek."Peter please come back to me".

Peter stood in the cell for at least an hour. He paced around board as he could not do anything to break out. He stood their board as he did not have his webshooters or mask on. He reviewed his options and spoke under his breath."Okay so i'm in a world where the avengers are all fusions and now they have me in a power draining cell. So this officially sucks". He then sat down on the floor as the hawkeye war machine fusion named War Hawk and the other Natasha known as Iron Widow walked up to the cell. Peter looked at them as Iron widow was looking at him with both shock and anger. She then opened the cell as she walked in and grabbed Peter by the neck. She looked at him angry as she spoke."Who sent you'? Why do you look like him!?". War Hawk had to make sure she did not him so he calmed her down as she threw the teen to the ground. Peter looked at them and spoke."Okay, Look. Believe it or not,i'm not from this world. I came when i was chasing a villain called the Goblin, and he's after this world's Spider man for his blood in order to make an army of super soldiers with spider powers". Iron widow looked at him more angry and spoke."This world's Spider man,my son is dead!". Peter looked at him shocked and was about to speak when Iron Widow received a call. She looked at War Hawk who nodded as she walked off leaving the two males in the cell to talk. War Hawk looked at the teen as he spoke kindly."I'm sorry about what she did. Look can you tell me who you are and what you were doing in the tower". Peter nodded as he explained how he had ended up in their world and how he had came to the tower thinking that he was back in his world. War hawk looked at Peter and straight away could tell that the teen was telling the truth. Peter then spoke."So what happened to this world's spider man?". War hawk looked at him as he did not know what to say to him.

He then cleared his throat as he answered Peter's question."You see Natasha Stark was captured by a group of terrorists in afghanistan and was the not the same after she built her first armor. We later learned that she could no longer have children and that was when she met him. Our Peter Parker. She adopted him after she had found him walking the streets alone in tattered clothes. He became the light of her life. Once he had gotten his powers,he had begged Natasha to let him join the team and build him his own armor. It took a lot of convincing and when she finally agreed he was happy. And the iron spider was born. He was a great kid and a really valuable teammate. But that changed six months ago. When on a mission to rescue hostages from terrorist on a ship, Peter had removed his armor in order to save hostages. He was then shot by the terrorists. He died on the spot and Natasha lost it and she killed all of the terrorists. She was never the same after that". Peter looked at him with sorrow in his eyes as he imagined how his mother felt with him not being in their dimension and how she almost killed Yelena for torturing him. Suddenly an alarm went off as Warhawk geared up and looked at Peter and removed the power restraints. The two quickly made their way to the lab as they saw the Goblin fighting off the fusion avengers. He held what looked like the iron spider armor,but with black replacing the gold and Peter knew what he was going to do. He looked at War hawk and spoke."He's planning on taking the armor to use it for his soldiers". The rest of the avengers looked at the teen as the Goblin charged at him.

Peter quickly shot out a web as he dodged the attack with the Iron widow scolding him."Okay young man, i don't know what you're doing here, but this not your battle". Peter looked at her and spoke."Look you are not my mom,just another version of her and i'm not your son. Plus this guy is my ticket home,so this is my battle". Suddenly the Goblin had struck Peter on the back as he fell to the ground. Iron widow shot out a repulsor beam as the Goblin started to open the portal. Peter quickly shot out a web as he had managed to remove the armor from his grasp. He then placed the armor down as he charged at the Goblin and the two entered the portal as it started to close. Peter and the Goblin started to get into a fist fight as the portal to the next world had started to open as they were both blinded by a bright flash of light giving the Goblin the opportunity to escape to find allies in this new world.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. The idea to have an amalgam version of the avengers has been something that i have wanted to see in either the marvel or the spider verse.
