Aelin ran as fast as she could towards the wastes. She had a horse but she eventually deemed her fae body faster. She's been running for what seemed like ages, but for simply several hours. She slowed down to adjust the bag on her back, but quickly sped up again, and was nearly there.
She banged on the door to a huge house, big enough to shelter 14 people anyways. Even if several of them shared beds like Aelin suspected.
There was no reply so he banged harder and louder, careful not to break the actual door. Eventually the door flung open to reveal a pissed off, half dressed, wrapped in a blanket, moon haired witch.
"What in Hellas do you want." She snarled.
"I have a brilliant idea."
"Me too," she replied. "Leave."
"But-"
"It's eleven o' fucking' clock at night."
"You gotta listen to me."
"I don't have time for this." Just then Elide started down the stairs right across from the door wrapped in a blanket as well. Blankets from the same bedding it looked like.
"Were you two...?"
"If I say yes will you get the fuck out?"
"I'm not in."
"Will you fucking leave?" Elide stood beside Manon and leaned against her heavily.
"Hi." Was all she said.
"Elide, this is important. Do you have your own Wyvern yet?"
"Well, they let me keep one of the hatchlings. So I guess, but he's not the best flier yet."
"That's perfect."
"My life being endangered training a dragon is perfect?" Elide asked, confused.
"He's not a dragon." Manon muttered.
"You can be a chaser!"
"Aelin." Elide stated blankly.
"What?"
"Get the fuck out. Come back in the morning. But get the fuck out."
Aelin was shocked to hear the sweet little girl swear but she supposed since she just stopped having gay sex with a witch to tell her that, anything was possible.
"But where am I gonna sleep?" asked the blonde.
"I don't give a shit but not here."
"I'm a queen."
"That's nice." The immortal rolled her eyes.
"According to law you have to." She crossed her arms, hoping to have won.
"Unless we're enemies."
"Manon." She growled.
"You can sleep on the fucking couch."
👄~👄~👄
The screaming was unbearable.
If it were the tortured screaming of death she might have been able to handle it but no, it was not. Aelin could pinpoint exactly where Manon and Elide slept, even though the were trying to keep it down but clearly Kaya and Thea had no clue about her intrusion of the house. There was a load moaning coming from another part of the house as well but Aelin couldn't tell who it was coming from.
