1 week later
You ready?' Katherine shouted from downstairs.
'Yes, one second!' I rolled my eyes. Me and Katherine were going out shopping for more stuff today, including her dress, my suit, flowers, rings, and various others.
I headed downstairs to where Katherine was waiting. 'Thank god. I don't think I could stand any more death glares from your charming son there.' She said, gesturing to the living room, where Will was on the laptop.
I walked over to Will. 'Can you stop glaring at my fiancee please?' I whispered.
'Can you stop glaring at my fiancee please??' Will mimicked me.
'I swear to god Will, if you carry on, I won't hesitate to stop you coming to the wedding!' I threatened.
'Like I care.' He rolled his eyes. 'You told mum yet?'
'Not yet. I'm waiting for the right time.' I frowned.
He laughed humorlessly. 'You just don't want to tell her.'
'Stop acting like a child.' I sighed and walked outside to where Katherine was waiting, by her car.
She saw my tense expression. 'He'll come around eventually. Just give him space.'
'I don't know what to do Katherine.' I said. 'He's being so difficult. I suggested him coming along yesterday, so he could pick a suit, but all he did was ignore me. I don't understand him at all. He certainly didn't react this way when I kissed you that Halloween. The complete opposite in fact.'
'Hey, you swore to never mention that again!' She glared at me.
'Shit, sorry.' I laughed.
Katherine's POV
We soon arrived in town. 'Shall we start with my dress and your suit first?' I suggested. 'To make things easier?'
In truth, I couldn't wait to buy my dress. I couldn't wait for the wedding full stop. Not that I'd admit that to Nick.'Okay, sounds like a plan.' He agreed, so I drove to the shop for him and dropped him off there. 'I'll text you when I'm done.' He said.
I drove to the wedding dress shop and went inside.
A short girl in her twenties, with black hair, looked up from the desk and smiled. 'Hi, can I help you?''Erm, yeah, I'm getting married in less than two months and I'm looking for a dress.' I said awkwardly. This was way out of my comfort zone.
'Well, you've come to the right place!' She said brightly. 'I'm Lauren by the way.'
'Katherine.' I replied.
She walked over. 'So Katherine, what kind of dress are you looking for?'
'Erm, I'm not sure really.' I said. 'Something classy. Elegant, but...'
'-Sexy?'
'Exactly.' I nodded.
She led me to a collection of dresses and pulled one off the rack. 'What about this?'I wasn't sure. 'Maybe not. I'm not a fan of frills.'
'Okay, no problem.' She replaced it and pulled out another one. 'What about this?'
As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the one. 'It's perfect.'
'This is the one?' She questioned.
'Absolutely.'
'Okay, great. We can get it fitted now, if you want.'
'Sure, I can do that.'
'Perfect.'
Nick's POV
When Katherine arrived back at the suit shop, I had got my suit. 'Could you put it in the back please?' I asked her.
She frowned. 'Why can't you?'
'Because of your dress...' I stated the obvious.
She waved a dismissive hand. 'My dress isn't in the back. I've requested for it to be delivered to my place tomorrow. That way, you won't see it.'
'You think of everything, don't you?' I grinned. I put my suit in the back and we headed to the jewellers.
We were approached by a beefy, jolly man. 'Can I help you?'
'Erm, wedding rings?' I asked. Me and Katherine already had the engagement rings that I'd bought last week.
'Of course, follow me.' He led us to a glass case of rings.
Once I saw it, I knew it was perfect for Katherine. It was a silver ring, with a light blue topaz in the middle, surrounded by a circle of tiny diamonds.
She was looking at it too.
'That one?' I asked her.'That one.' She confirmed.
For me, I chose a simple silver band and when we bought them, the shop assistant put them in small navy boxes.
All in all, this was turning out to be a good day. Normally, me and Katherine wouldn't be able to get through a day without arguing or saying something bitchy, but today was different. We rarely disagreed with each other and I had a feeling that this was leading to good things.

Author's note
Hey guys, hope you enjoyed my chapter. I didn't show pictures of Katherine's dress or Nick's suit because I'd rather leave them to the wedding day. Hope that's okay.
