I looked up, as Nick entered the private lab, an hour later.

'Is everything okay, Nick?' I asked quietly as he sat down next to me.

'My aunt has had a fall, and had to be rushed to hospital, Katherine.' He said defeatedly. 'She took me in when I was 16, when my dad had thrown me out for my shitty lifestyle, and supported all the life decisions I ever made. Ash has always covered up his emotions, by playing the joker, but, all I saw today, was a broken man.'

I put an arm around him to comfort him. 'Get on the next plane to Australia with your parents. You're right, Ashton's facade was all too easy to see through. Your aunt needs you all.'

'You won't come with me?' He asked.

'Who's gonna run Calimov if we both go?' I shrugged.

'We'll just close the place til we get back.' He said.

'No, Nick. We've done that once, we're not doing it again.' I replied. 'I'll be fine, here with Will, Eve and KT.'

'I'll miss you.' He kissed me.

'I'll miss you too.' I said.

Ashton walked in. 'Erm, I'm off now Nick.' He said. 'Sorry, I didn't want to walk in on another..'

'Ashton, when do you fly out?' Nick asked.

'Erm, tomorrow.' He answered.

'Call your dad, and tell him to sort out the spare rooms.'

'You're coming to Australia?' Ashton asked.

'Yes, dumbass. Me, mum and dad.' Nick replied.

'Okay.' He nodded and turned to me. 'It was nice meeting you Katherine.' He smiled.

'And you Ashton.' I smiled and turned to Nick. 'I'll let the board know, while you go home and talk to Will.'

'Thanks Kath. Love you.' He kissed me and followed Ashton out.
