Nick's father, Peter want's a business deal with his friend, Mason. But Mason will only agree under one condition.
That Nick marries Mason's daughter.
But what Nick later discovers is that Mason's last name is Calvin. And his daughter is Katherine...
'Dad! Katherine!' Will greeted us, as we walked in. 'How was the honeymoon?'
'It was great thanks.' I answered.
'Yeah, it was good thanks Will. How's your few weeks been? Where's Eve and KT?' Nick asked.
'It's been fine. And they're over at Lily's.' Will told him. 'Would you two like a coffee or something?'
'Sure thanks.' I put my suitcase in the hall and me and Nick went into the living room.
'Well it's nice to see that the goldfish have been looked after.' Nick said cheerily.
I laughed. 'Yeah, that's good to know.'
'Dad, we're out of coffee!' Will shouted from the kitchen.
'I'll get it. Besides, I wanna buy something else.' Nick called back. He gave me a quick kiss. 'I won't be long.'
He grabbed his wallet and left.
I put my legs onto the sofa, and checked my texts. None. Wow, that's nice, I thought sarcastically. But I didn't actually mind. I was too happy.
I picked up the newspaper that was on the table instead; it had yesterday's date on it. Will must have bought it.
I casually flicked through it out of boredom.
I wasn't really looking for anything specific, but when I saw the picture, I stopped cold:

The headline jumped out at me;

I quickly read the story underneath:

I frowned. What the fuck-? It was on the gossip section of the newspaper. What I wanted to know was how they got hold of a picture of me and Nick kissing??
'Will?' I called.
'Yeah?' He appeared in the doorway.
'Have you read this newspaper?' I asked.
'Only the big headlines. Why? What's up?' He said.
'Have you read the gossip section?'
He scoffed. 'Do I look like a bored teenage girl to you? Actually, don't answer that. Why, what's wrong?'
'It doesn't matter.' I flipped back to the front page. 'Just usual trash. I was just wondering, that's all.'
'Oh, okay.' He went back into the kitchen.
I heard the front door slam and then Nick went into the kitchen. He returned a minute later with a bunch of pink roses for me. Aww. That was so sweet.
'For you, my lady.' He gave them to me.
'Thank you Nick! They're beautiful.' I smiled and hugged him.
He hugged me back but then pulled away. 'What's wrong?'
'What do you mean?' I frowned.
'Babe, I know you.' He said. 'There's something wrong. I can see it in your eyes.'
I sighed and opened the newspaper to the gossip page. He quickly read the article. 'Fucking trash journalism.' He muttered.
'Doesn't it bother you?' I asked incredulously.
'Well, yeah, but not that much. It's just bored people gossiping, because they haven't got lives of their own.' Nick said. 'Who cares what people say about us?'
'Yeah, true.' I nodded.
I was still worrying though. I didn't want people to gossip about my business, and Nick's. And I still wanted to know who the fuck got hold of that picture.
