I got up and quickly switched my alarm off. I seriously contemplated not going to work today.
But then I remembered that I had a board meeting today.
I sighed and went to have a quick shower, then I changed into my black skinny slacks, my white chiffon shirt and my new black heels.

I decided to get a coffee on the way to work, and reminded Eve to get Will up for college before I left.
It was a quiet drive to work today. There wasn't much traffic, surprisingly, so I wasn't in a rush. It was a bit too quiet though, without Nick's stupid jokes (bless him), so I put the radio on.

I finally arrived at work and when I entered the lab, Lily was already there. 'You're early.' I said in surprise.
She looked up from the computer. 'Yeah. Is it alright if I leave around lunchtime Katherine, as I have to go to the dentist?'
'Yeah, that's fine.' I nodded. 'I'm sure I'll manage.'
'Thanks.' She smiled.
I went into the office, and powered up the computer.
As it turned on, I received a text from Nick:
Good morning my sweet angel Xx
I smiled and texted back:
Morning Mr Clarke. Just arrived at Calimov xx
2 minutes later, he replied:
Good luck for the board meeting Xx
I smiled and got to work.
