Scott didn't want to be here. His father thought it would be a good idea to bring Scott to his beach house with him for this whole summer. The only problem was that he also brought along his new wife and their two step-sons. That honestly didn't bother Scott, but his dads new wife seemed to hate him and the two boys were 12 year old twins that really knew how to work Scott's nerves. They weren't even his fathers kids. They were from his new wife's previous marrige.
So, Scott spent his time down at the beach. What 17 year old would honestly want to spend time with his family anyhow. That's the excuse Scott was using, good old teenage angst. Scott loved spending time with his mom, just not his dad. Scott kicked the sand, trying not to think about the fact that he still had another two months to spend with his dad.
"Hi." Scott looked up and was surprised to see a girl with long dark hair. She was wearing a white bikini and looked just as misrable as he did.
"Hi." he replied. Scott almost felt like he was going to start drooling. This girl was gorgeous.
"What brings you here? You look just as bored as I feel." the girl laughed, and Scott laughed along.
"My dad decided to bring me out here along with his new wife and two step-sons. The only problem is, I've never really liked my dad." Scott answered. It was the truth, Scott's dad left because his mom had enough of him as a drunk. The he got himself remarried. Scott still didn't want to be near him, he was done with him the second he got old enough to understand why his dad wasn't ever around anymore and his mom had to work late shift to pay the bills.
"Yeah, I know the feeling. Except my aunt Kate decided to bring me along. She said I needed to "Live a little", because apparently, spending my summer catching up on me reading and trying to do so early college courses isn't good enough for her. She wants me to be a real teenager. Not one who's trying to plan her future." The girl laughed again. "Oh, I'm Allison by the way. Allison Argent." she stuck her hand out to shake his.
"Scott McCall." Scott said as he took her hand and shook it.
"Scott! Its time for dinner!" Scott looked up the beach. His father was standing on the deck of their current residence, waving him back toward the house.
"I'll be in in a minute!" Scott called back. He turned back to Allison.
"So, do you see that beach house up there, its kind of blue but at the same time its gray?" Allison said as she pointed to a house across from his.
"Yeah, I see it." Scott replied. It was only a little ways down the beach from the house he was currently staying in.
"Great." Allison grinned. "That's the house I'm staying in right now. Seriously, I can't stand being alone with my aunt, come over when ever you can, okay." Allison said as she began walking back in the direction of her house. Scott smiled and nodded.
"I will take you up on that." Scott nodded.
"Scott, come on!" his dad screamed from the deck. Scott waved at Allison before running off to his house.
Scott took Allison up on her offer and was at her beach house almost every day. Her aunt wasn't too bad, just a little creepy. She alwasy seemed to be there too. Allison began teaching him French. Allison's father, along with his sister Kate, were originally from France. So Allison grew up there until she was three, so she knew their native tongue. So in return, Scott began teaching Allison how to speak Spanish. On the days that they weren't teaching each other another language, they were out swimming or walking up and down the beach.
Scott's dad tried to invite Allison over many times but Allison said that she knew that if she came, that Kate would follow. So she politley declined to save everyone from her crazy aunt. Scott got close to Allison, closer then he had been to any other girl. So when the two months were over, he was crushed. The day he was set to leave he spent walking up and down the beach with Allison one last time.
"It was a really nice summer. I'm really glad I got to meet you." Allison said softly.
"I'm not really good at goodbyes, so I won't say one, but I had a really great summer as well." Scott replied.
"I'm switching schools this year, my parents decided to move again." Allison said.
"Do you know what school yet?" Scott asked. Allison shook her head.
"Just, don't forget me okay?" Allison whispered. Scott almost didn't hear her over the sound of the waves.
"I could never forget you Allison." Scott whispered back. Allison smiled and stopped in front of him. She leaned in and kissed him.
"SCOTT, ITS TIME TO LEAVE, COME ON!" Allison pulled away, smiling even bigger now.
"Go, before you get in trouble. Remember, this isn't goodbye." Scott nodded and ran back up the beach to the house. When he turned back around, Allison was gone.
"And she was just gone, like she legit left after that kiss?" Stiles asked as he walked down the hallway beside Scott.
"Yeah, it was almost like she just disapeared. I was worried I had imagined it all but then my dad asked me about her on the way home so I knew I couldn't have imagined it all." Scott sighed. "It was a nice kiss too. And she told me to remember that it wasn't goodbye."
"What did she look like again?" Stiles asked. Scott gave Stiles an odd look.
"Kind of tan, she had brown eyes, long dark curly hair." Scott shrugged. "I don't know how else to explain her."
"Could that possibly be her over there talking with my girlfriend?" Stiles asked. Scott turned in the direction Stiles was looking and sure enough, standing near Lydia Martin was Allison Argent. Scott grinned and turned back to Stiles.
"That is her." Scott said. He walked over to the two of them, smiling even bigger when Allison noticed him.
"Scott." she breathed once he was in hearing range. "I told you it wasn't goodbye." she grinned and pulled him in for a kiss.
