"Who's still living? Time for a head count!" Marik remarks in a sarcastic tone.

"Shut up, Marik," Seto states icily. Each of us have a few bumps, bruises, and scrapes, but for the most part we are unharmed.

"So what happened?" Ryou asks, Bakura helping him to his feet and aiding in the removal of his parachute.

"I'm  not sure. The jet was just serviced so it could not have been an  electrical or mechanical failure. Which really only leaves one  explanation," our cerulean eyed manager comments.

"Which is?" Malik prods, rubbing his sore shoulder.

"Sabotage!" Ryou exclaims, his doe brown poos widening to the size of saucers.

"Exactly,"  Seto agrees, "That wasn't an accident. Someone messed with  our engine to cause us to crash. Considering, our tracking beacon went  up in flames when the jet hit the mountain, it is of no use to us. But..  there is one thing that can help." Seto pauses and turns in my  direction. I lean up against the tree, allowing its firm trunk to hold  me up on my feet. I had hit a few tree branches on the way down. I  curled my body around Yugi to protect him. In doing so, I twisted my  ankle and received a sharp jab in the ribs by one of the branches. I  glance over at Yugi who has a few bruises and a busted lip. I trace my  finger over the wound in an attempt to clear the blood away from his  mouth. I sigh and turn to face Seto.

I tilt my head up to  meet his gaze, "Everything was destroyed in the crash. What could  possibly help us?" I narrow my eyes at my manager, awaiting his response  anxiously.

"Do you have your cell phone, Yami?" he asks me, taking several steps closer and closing the distance between us.

"Yes,  but I doubt we will get any reception in the middle of nowhere, Seto.  Plus, don't you have your own cell phone?" I ask him.

"I do have  my cell phone, but I had an emergency locator / tracking device  installed on your cell phone for just such an occasion. It will work  even when we do not have the signal strength to make a phone call," Seto  explains. He stops in front of me and holds out his hand. I sigh  and provide my phone from within my pocket. My fingers wrap around the sleek plastic  phone and place it in Seto's palm.

Seto  instantly turns it around and removes the battery. He flicks a switch  within the phone and a red light on the front of the phone starts to  blink. He replaces the battery and returned the phone to me.

"What happens when the phone dies?" Ryou asks.

"The  emergency beacon continues to transmit. The beacon runs off of a  separate power sources than the phone itself. It was designed to emit  emergency signals even when the phone is dead," Seto smirks at his own genius.

"Well  done!" Malik pats Seto on the back. Seto flinches and pulled away from  Malik's touch. When Malik removes his hand a red stain seeps  through Seto's shirt and trench coat. He's bleeding. I gape at him for a  few seconds and clear my throat.
