"I hope Bakura is proud of himself!" Seto growls, storming into the hotel room.
"Why do you say that?" I ask.
"Debris from him smashing his guitar severely damaged an eye of a teenager in the front row! She will be blind if they do not repair the damage immediately! They are suing us for the cost of the surgery, related medical cost, and mental anguish!" our manager tosses a folder full of documents at me to review.
"Poor girl," I comment, flipping through the pages and details, "I will cover the costs." I hand the folder back to Seto.
"No, you won't," Ryou speaks up for the first time, "It is Bakura's fault. He should pay." The usual calm milk chocolate eyes harden, "It's only right that he pay for the surgery."
I blink at him several times and nod my agreement. He is right. Let's just hope Bakura will step up to the plate and take responsibility for what happened.
"Good luck with that!" Malik scoffs.
Ryou's shoulders fall, causing him to lose the edge he held a few moments prior. The albino climbs into the arm chair next to Yugi. His head falls onto Yugi's shoulder and he hides his face from the rest of the group. He is still pretty banged up from their fight the other night. Yugi was able to cover up all of the bruising with makeup the night of our concert. The fans never would have known there was a problem within the band had Bakura not flipped out on stage.
"Also!" Seto's voice cut into my thoughts,
"Congratulations, the band made front page of the New York Times newspaper!" Our manager throws the document down on the bed. On the cover is a picture of Bakura holding up his guitar just before smashing it. The look on his face is that of pure rage. The headline reads, "Bass guitarist losses control on stage and renders a fan blind." Wow, the band's first bout of bad publicity. It had to happen at some point. We have actually been very fortunate so far. We have not had any bad publicity prior to this article.
"Oh she's not blind yet," Malik rolls his lavender eyes.
"No, but she will be permanently blind if they do not repair the damage today," Seto responds.
"I know this is way off topic, but where's Marik?" Yugi arches his eyebrow, his amethyst eyes locking on the smallest Egyptian.
"Out looking for Bakura," Malik replies.
