"Holy shit, Atemu! What happened out there?" I hear Malik's voice behind me and feel his grip on my shoulders. His grip tightens and he turns me to face him, "Ra! Your throat! Have you seen it? It looks like you were strangled."
"Gee thanks, Malik. I hadn't noticed that while I was being choked out there," I snap.
"I'm sorry," Malik backs away from me.
"No, Malik. I'm sorry. I'm just a little...confused. We have to figure out what happened out there," I point in direction of the stage.
"What about the whips that were around the rest of you? How did they feel?" Seto's cerulean eyes shift between each of us in turn.
"Oh it was fantastic, Seto. You should give it a try sometime," Ryou growls through his clenched teeth. My jaw drop. I've never heard Ryou's voice go anything near a growl or show any signs of anger.
"It was uncomfortable, but not painful," Marik answers Seto's question, "It was nothing like what happened to Atemu."
"Bakura," I turn to face the albino, "How did you know it wasn't part of the show?"
"I'm not blind dumbass. You were turning blue. You looked mere seconds away from passing out," Bakura scoffs.
"Thank you," I trace the tender flesh surrounding my throat. The albino nods, briefly closing his eyes.
"Who would want to kill Atemu?" Yugi wraps his arms tightly around my torso. Tears dance in his large heavenly dusted amethyst.
"Who wouldn't want to kill him?" Marik sniggers.
"Fuck you!" I snap at him.
"It's true," Bakura lean against the wall, "People usually want to be you, fuck you, or kill you."
"Which one are you then?" ...Yes.. I did just dare to ask that.
"Are you sure you want to know?" a predatory and almost malevolent expression crosses his face. On second thought. I really don't want to know.
"No," I respond.
"Well I do," Malik curiously eyes our bass guitarist.
"It honestly depends on the day. I alternate between two out of the three. I'll let your imagination run with that," Bakura lowered his head and peers at me through his thick silver bangs. A chill races down my spine.
"Getting back to the problem at hand," Seto cuts in, "I will hire additional security and we will find out who tried to kill you."
I glare at my manager. Forgive me if that doesn't reassure me. This individual nearly strangled me on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans. They used a part of what actually was the performance to get to me. This individual is cunning and stealthy. It is going to take a lot more than just added security to stop them. We have to figure out why they are after me. At least that is my theory.

I spin my guitar around in my hands, examining it. When I rolled onto my back to cut the whip from my neck; I rolled onto my guitar and heard something crunch. I don't see anything wrong with it though.
