We walked into the change rooms and I went straight to the showers to get changed, I couldn’t risk anyone seeing. I loved sport exercising made me feel pretty good, never perfect but a lot better. We were playing volleyball in the gym. I took off my jumper when it happened, my top git caught and my stomach was seen by everyone. I grabbed my jumper and ran to the toilets, the class was silent, and not a single girl missed it. I ran to the change rooms as fast as I could, if I was going to get away I need to be fast, I locked one of the toilet doors and turned on the tap then grabbed my bag before running out the back way as quickly as I could, then no one would see me leave. Breathing heavy with tears streaming down my face I ran up to the bus stop, I worried that someone would see me so I ran further up the road, quite a few blocks. I was tired and cold, I looked to see if anyone was following me, fortunately I could see anyone, and the bus was coming I paid my fare and sat down, I had no idea where I was going but I wasn’t going to stay and be judged and looked at by my friends and family, all I had was my sports uniform, my wallet and some food.  I couldn’t believe this had happened it was like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from.

AMY’S POV

I couldn’t believe what I had just seen, I looked around at my class, the looks on their faces were disgusting ‘don’t judge her I screamed, it’s your fault anyway!’ I ran out of the room and into the bathroom. I heard the tap running, I just hoped that I could catch her in time, I knew that she would run, but I had no idea where. She knew a few of us would follow, so she will go somewhere random, and that’s what scares me most. I flung open the door and the room was empty, her bag gone. I screamed, was that what she was going to tell me? Why didn’t I speak up sooner? My god my head was running a million miles an hour. I just collapsed I sat on the floor, I had no idea what to do. I heard footsteps,  a figure sat down next to me, it was Ashleigh, Jess’s best friend; they go to gymnastics together and she is in the year below us. ‘How did you know?’ I asked putting my arm around her. ‘I heard you shout out her name before you screamed at your class, my class was upstairs. I looked down all of those snitches giggling and gossiping about her, it’s just disgusting! It’s partly their fault to begin with!’ The tears slowly rolled down her face. ‘Did she run?’ she asked sadly. ‘Yeah’ I replied with a frown. ‘And I have no idea where. You know why don’t you?’

‘Yeah, I should’ve said something earlier, I’m so annoyed at myself’ Ash buried her head in her knees

‘It’s not your fault!’ I said sympathetically, ‘I mentioned to her that I thought that she wasn’t herself,’ I choked on my tears, ‘Then she asked me to meet up with her afterschool, b-because she wanted to tell me something’ I sobbed louder, ‘she was going to tell me!’ I screamed in frustration. Ash and I sat there in silence, just leaning on each other and sharing the occasional thought, we sat there for the rest of the period.
