Lost and Insecure: Janoskians Fan Fic

Chapter 16

AMY’S POV

Dinner was really nice; we ate at a nice Italian restaurant. For desert we had ice cream cake and we sang happy birthday. The boys made a massive deal of it, they stood up and starting singing it at the top of their lungs. Most of the other customers even joined in too, it was pretty awesome. Jess went so red, but she laughed, I could see she was enjoying herself. Jai, Luke and Beau care about her so much, I had been worried about her, but knowing these boys had been looking after her the whole time made me feel so much better. Jess has had a massive crush on Jai ever since she started watching the Janoskians videos, and from what I could see, Jai liked her back.

I had never been a crazed fan of the Janoskians like Jess was, but I liked watching their videos and I thought that they were funny. But Luke, wow….. He is so sweet and he looked so good dressed up like that! I was going to stay with Jess at the Brooks’ house tonight, and then in the morning Beau was going to drive us to school. The drive would give me plenty of time to catch up with Jess.

We sat and chatted for ages, we were all having an awesome time. Beau looked at his phone, it was 8. ‘Do we want to head and work out sleeping arrangements?’ He asked looking at all of us.

‘Yeah, and we all have to go school tomorrow.’ Jess replied, Jai, Luke and I nodded in agreement. ‘Thanks, seriously this was an awesome way to spend my birthday. Thanks again.’ She couldn’t stop smiling, we had done it, we had given her an awesome 16th birthday.

When we got back to the boy’s house Jess and I sat down in the living room chatting while the boys worked out where I would sleep.

Jess told me what she had told the boys and the drama of the days before; they had done a great job of looking after her, maybe even a better job than I could of. I was really happy, she was doing really well. Jess even said that it was her own decision to go back to school tomorrow. ‘So you and Jai?’ I asked Jess, she blushed

‘Nothing’s happened yet..’ she replied hushing me.

‘Do you want something to happen?’ I asked eagerly.

‘I really do,’ Jess replied smiling. ‘But I’m not sure Jai would be interested in the whole long distance relationship thing. He constantly has prettier girls throwing themselves at him.’ She said, a frown spreading across her face. ‘And girls with less fucked up shit going on in their heads,’ she was talking louder this time she was really upset, I could tell, she was disappointed in herself. ‘It’s probably for the best,’ Jess sighed.

‘We’ve got all of the beds sorted out,’ Luke said walking into the room.

‘Awesome, I’m so tired.’ I said getting up off the couch. We followed Luke into his bedroom; Jai was chucking a blanket onto the floor. ‘You and Jess can sleep on the mattresses on the floor,’ I nodded, it was fine.

‘Jess could I talk to you for a minute?’ Jai said walking towards the door.

‘Sure,’ she replied, trying to hide her excitement. She looked at me with a grin and walked out the door.

JAI’S POV

I was nervous, but I had to tell her. She was going back home tomorrow, it was now or never. We walked out to the backyard; I wanted us to be alone. ‘Jess,’ I said nervously.

‘Yeah what’s up?’ She said smiling. I put my hand under her chin and pulled her eyes so they were level with mine. ‘It’s been awesome spending time with you, and I really don’t want you to go. Jess will you be my girlfriend?’ I took a deep breath and waited for her reply. ‘Yes!’ She said hugging me. ‘Yes, yes, yes yes!’ She had the biggest and most beautiful smile spread across her face. I hesitated, looking into her eyes, then it happened, we kissed. She pulled away grinning, then she hugged me again. We both walked back to my bedroom smiling, I had a feeling Amy and Luke knew what had just happened. Jess and Amy grabbed their pyjamas and went to the bathroom. ‘We’re just getting changed,’ Amy exclaimed shutting the door. Luke and I got changed too.

‘So?’ Luke asked pulling a kissy face at me.

‘She said yes!’ I said smiling. Luke winked at me as I jumped into bed; I grabbed my laptop and got online. There was a knock at our bedroom door, ‘Come in,’ Luke called. Everyone got into bed, Beau came in to say god night and he turned off the light for us. Jess and I messaged each other, Thanks for asking she wrote. I know it will be hard but I know we can make it work <3. I smiled and wrote back thanks for saying yes ;P sleep well. I saw her smile and put her phone down, she was going to sleep. I looked at the time and I realised I probably should too.  

-The next day-

JAI’S POV

We sat and ate breakfast together, it was really early but I didn’t want to miss saying goodbye to Jess. We sat at the table chatting and smiling, and then everyone continued to get ready. At 7 Beau, Jess and Amy headed to the door. I ran to the door, ‘Bye beautiful,’ I said looking Jess right in the eyes. We shared a kiss before she ran off to Beau’s car, ‘Bye!’ She called out waving, I couldn’t help but smile.

JESS’S POV

In the car we had a few random conversations, and we listened to the radio. I was quite nervous for school, so I was pretty quiet for the trip, Jess and Beau could tell. We got to school and it was 8:30, perfect timing, we would have 15 minutes to get organised before class. ‘Thanks for everything Beau,’ I said picking up my bag.

‘No worries,’ he replied with a wink, ‘see you soon?’

‘You bet!’ I replied closing the door. Amy and I waved before turning around and walking through the gates, we walked up to the common room and I put my stuff in my locker. I could her groups of girls gossiping already, Amy shot me a sympathetic look. I rolled my eyes and buried my face in my hands as more chatting girls walked through the door, ‘Shut up,’ Amy hissed.

‘Amy, it’s okay,’ I said sighing.

‘Jess it’s not okay,’ Amy said whispering, ’it’s not fair.’

I walked over to a table grabbed a chair and stood on it. ‘Jess what are you doing?’ Amy asked signalling me to join her. ‘Everyone shut up!’ I yelled, and the room fell silent, every eye was on me. ‘I have a problem,’ I said pulling up my top, revealing my heavily scarred stomach. ‘If anyone cares I’m getting help and I’m doing a lot better.’ Girls looked at me with shock and horror. ‘And if you have a fucking problem with that,’ I said adjusting my jumper, ‘Come and say it to my face, don’t be a pathetic bitch and say it behind my back. Come and say it to my fucking face!’ I yelled getting off the chair and putting it back. I walked back over to Amy, picked up my books and headed to class. ‘You’re crazy!’ Amy said giggling.

‘I know, but it’ll get them to shut up. And it’ll stop all the rumours too.’ I felt better; I had gotten it off my chest, at the moment I could care less what the other girls at school thought of me.

Afterschool I went to training then home again. I got back into my normal routine the next week; I visited Jai as often as I could. I was doing my homework at my mum’s house when I got a phone call from my dad.
