Chapter 6

JESS'S POV

We walked into the gym and I could already feel the girls starring at me, judging me. There was a few that mumbled slut under their breaths just a little too loud. 'Are you alright?' Beau and Luke asked me. I stayed silent, Jai pulled me closer to him and whispered, 'it's alright I've got you' I looked at him and smiled and mouthed back a thank you. He really cared and it meant so much to me! Jai was so sweet and he was looking out for me all the time, I can't imagine going through this with anyone else. Beau and Luke walked over to the bikes, 'we'll catch up with you in a second' I called out to them as I pulled Jai away somewhere quiet. 'thank you so much for everything you've done for me so far, it means a lot, and I appreciate how much you care'. Jai smiled at me. And I continued more confidently, 'i know that I'm going to need to stay for a few more days, so I'll tell them tonight, but you will have to help me. I'm telling complete strangers, because I care about you boys and I don't want to hurt them.' Jai looked back at me with amazement.

'You're so brave Jess, and I will be there to support you the whole way. And I want you to know that you can trust me, along with Luke and Jai. They will be able to help, especially Beau, he always has the right things to say' I smiled back at Jai and we walked over to the bikes and jumped on one next to Luke. 'So how long til we get into the real stuff,' I teased.

'we usually ride for like 5 minutes, just to warm up, then we get into the real stuff.... Do you think you'll be able to handle it?'

I just laughed, I was so ready and I was looking forward to it.

We all jumped off the bikes and I followed the boys over to the weights. They picked up the black ones, so did I. They all looked at me, I giggled and said 'don't worry I know what I can handle!' we worked on the weights for a little longer when I decided it was probably left the boys to do their normal routine. 'I'm going to go do some pull ups and stuff, you guys do what you normally do' I said pointing to a corner of the gym. I started walking off and I took a seat to concentrate myself, just as I was standing up I saw Luke in front of me. 'Beau and Jai kind of workout together all the time, their gym partners.' he looked awkwardly. 'You can join me' a grin spread across his face, I wasn’t looking to what he would think of me tonight, but I was going to do it. I grabbed the bar and started doing pull ups. I did ten in normal grip and ten with my hands reversed before jumping back off the bar, 'wow' Luke exclaimed, I don't think he was expecting that much out of me, I just smiled as he jumped up on the bar, Luke only did 10 in normal grip, he looked a little tired, 'so what else do you do Jess?' 'I'm going to grab a mat and do some push ups and sit ups' 'sounds good' Luke said as we walked over to the pile of mats.

I looked around the gym to find a spot for Luke and I to put down our mats. I scanned the room then I saw them, a girl all over Jai. I mean we’re not a thing, but I want it to be a thing. I obviously need to back up and hold off, coz I would hate to hurt another girls feelings, that’s not me. But Jai was on his own; Beau must have gone for a break. Luke broke my thoughts, ‘Fucking Slut’, Luke mumbled under his breath walking over to Jai. ‘Sarah! What the fuck is wrong with you?’ Luke spoke firmly; Jai and Luke both shared the same disgusted look on their faces. I was so confused, wasn’t that Jai’s? ‘Get the fuck out of here now, after what you did to James we don’t want to have anything to do with you’, Luke spoke louder there was absolute fury in his voice, I stepped back scared, I had no idea what was going to happen but it was so tense. ‘Oh Lukey, I know you don’t mean it and I forgive you,’ the girl spoke with a girly tone. Jai was sitting there in silence, he was the quiet one, and he wasn’t brave enough to fight her off on his own.  I walked off from the boys, I couldn’t handle this. ‘Slut!’ she screamed at me, I didn’t look back, I ran for the door. Beau stopped me, ‘What’s up?’ he said, looking right into my eyes. I turned my head in the direction of the twins. ‘You’ve got to be kidding me….. I’ll be back, but don’t go!’ Beau called back to me running to join his brothers, he couldn’t have timed it better, Sarah was standing up getting ready to slap Luke. Beau stopped her; he grabbed her hand, ‘What the fuck!’ She yelled, as soon as she realised it was Beau she walked away grabbed her stuff and left. I walked back over to join the boys.

We stayed at gym for a little longer before jumping in the car and heading home.
