~Thursday Night~

~August P.O.V.~

Walking down the street with my bandana around my nose and mouth, I was done with my shift at our little trap just on the outskirts of town. Right now Toby was gonna take over while the remaining three of us keep a look out or sell a little bit of some weed but I was strapped for time. It was already pushing nine o'clock when I arrived at the outdoor grill Paris and I decided to meet up at.

In the few days that she and I hadn't been talking, it gave me time to think. As a nigga such as myself, I don't like when there's conflict because I don't like dealing with it, especially when it can hit hard if it goes sour. Who wants to deal with all that? However, the cycle we in just isn't working and with WTE on the come up, I don't wanna be stressin' on a relationship that's on eggshells.

Pulling the bandana down so it hung around my neck instead of on my nose and mouth, I took a seat across from her. She had already ordered for the both of us, my usual cheeseburger with bacon and onion rings and she got a salad because she's one of those females when it comes to this grill. Looking around, a lot of couples were out enjoying the nice April night- oh that's right, July's birthday is coming up in a few days but too bad I don't talk to her anymore because of the whole family cut off shit that went down.

"Hey Paris." I said finally breaking the few moments of silence that was upon us.

"Hi August...so what's up?" I texted her to meet me here and she should clearly know why, I was too lazy to type out exactly why but its self explanatory when a nigga says lets meet up to talk.

"You know why I texted you to meet me here. We gotta go over what the fuck we have but we can't yell at each other and I mean it. You're always so quick to yell and you know I yell right back." I said first and foremost but she already had a look like she wasn't pleased with what I had said. "Tell me I'm wrong."

"I hear you, I won't yell but don't say stupid shit that makes me yell."

"We can't keep doin' this. Paris, I love you so much but what we're doin' is exhausting and it drains me like you wouldn't believe. There's no love anymore in our relationship, yeah we fuck but it's like, it's just that. Not what it used to be." I started off with before picking up the burger to take a much needed bite. I been starving the past ten minutes so to get the taste of the burger with the bacon and special sauce- then the onion rings too, I was good to go in terms of my needs.

"I love you too but you've changed. Ever since you started with WTE, I didn't like it. I try to stand by you but you running this as your own gang... I don't like it all. At least in IRG, you were just a basic member like the rest, now you're not. It makes me mad when I feel like you choose that gang over me despite how hard I'm trying to stand by you. Then when you go assuming shit about me, you're damn right I get mad." She protested back, not yelling but I could tell she was holding back the urge to yell just by the subtle strain in her voice as she spoke.

"I wouldn't be assuming shit if you didn't give me shit to assume. You think I liked seein' your coworkers chillin' so close to you on our couch when you'd post that shit on snapchat? I don't like seein' you that damn comfortable with other niggas because if I was doin' that with some females, you would have ripped me a new one. That shit you do pisses me off, or when you're on the bed texting your friends while I'm tryna talk with you. I ain't seen you all day 'cause you were at work and I come home to spend time with you but you're nose deep in your phone or on a phone call. Then you get mad at me when I don't listen to you, female you don't even listen to me so how does that work?" She looked back at me stumped, not knowing what to say as she knew I had nothing to lie about. "I get your dislike towards WTE but that's why I keep you away from it as much as I can."
