~LJ P.O.V.~
Coming down the stairs, I was too hype about it being summer. Like no one understands that this means I have so much free time for so much shit. I didn't get my gun like I wanted because I lost interest in keeping up my grades but there's plenty of 'em at the trap so I can always play with them when I'm there. Which I plan on spending a great deal of time there working with Uncle Varo and I wanna do more grown nigga shit. I'm fourteen, I'm basically an adult and can handle myself... I'm street smart and that's just about all I need to take care of myself.
"Look who's finally downstairs." Mom said as she was rinsing off dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. "What do you want for breakfast?" She asked and I took my attention elsewhere in which I saw Dad was still at the table but there was no Ivanna and that wasn't normal. She's supposed to already be down here so I can mess with her before I officially start my day... this is a must in the daily routine.
"Surprise me." I said as I took my seat in my chair. "Where's Ivanna?"
"She already left to go hang with Natalia. Why?" Dad questioned as he picked up his cup of coffee. I've never been a coffee nigga, it looks good but no. Its always too sweet or too bitter and I gave up after so many failed attempts to try to get it right- don't even get me started with Starbucks and how that almost turned into me busting that building up like as if it was some rival trap.
"She was supposed to drop me off at Uncle Arlie's- bruh ain't this some shit." I groaned in annoyance. "Well so much for that." four wheeler it is today, this is why I can't wait till I can drive- well I can technically drive around. Look at Uncle Varo, nigga never even as much as went for his permit yet he stays driving around like he owns these streets.
"You can never just sit still at home. Always have to be up to something." Mom said as she was digging around in the fridge, a clear shake of her head and I'm sure a roll of her eyes 'cause she part of the anti LJ club. "What happened to you when you were little and wanted to cuddle with me? Never wanted to leave my side-"
"Moment kid learned to crawl he realized he didn't need to butter you up to get you to take him from one room to another. Remember this the kid that wasn't even supposed to happen... I mean it, LJ you had a one percent chance of happening and you happened."
" Can't stop, won't stop." I shrugged. "But there's too much out in the world for me to see and try, I can stay at home when I'm old and senile." A yawn coming from me, I just might go back upstairs to get some more sleep. "I heard there were issues down in Houston's trap. That true?" I asked with a raised brow taking my eyes back over to Dad.
"Yeah, Malcolm hasn't been talking with me for a couple days and that spikes my curiosity, not to mention they haven't been bringing in nearly as much money as they should. Uncle Arlie, Varo, Ginot and I were gonna head down there for some time to get things straight." He explained and I could feel Mom's stare but I wasn't about to turn around and look for myself... I might turn to stone if I do. "What Nelle Bells?"
"When were you going to tell me all that? Lexis, why do you have to go? Just send the other three." She said adamantly... bet she got her hands on her hips. She using her 'one of you two Lexis' are in trouble voice', this not the Ty, Ivanna, Breezy, DeShawn or Trey ones. I can safely say it ain't my ass this time, thank God too because I needed a break.
"It was brought up last night at the trap, I'm talking with the other three now about it. Its not even a big deal if I go, been there plenty of times before."
"Ain't the twins there now?" I asked and he shook his head. "What? Where are they?"
"Detroit or on their way back here, I don't know. Hit 'em up and see what they tell you but they're not on my list of concerns."
