Retributed: The Final Chapter (Part 2)

~Breezy P.O.V.~

In the last eight years... so much has gone on and I can't even find the place to start other than the obvious but I'm sure other p.o.vs are gonna bring this up so lets get my perspective out of the way.

Lexis passing was truly something and when I say it wasn't just the family who felt the impact, the streets changed. For a solid week it was like every hood in Oakland paid tribute. There were no gang wars, no murders and no one sold anything on any corner. The twins said in Detroit that the streets were quiet for that same week as well, August said the East Coast was the same and of course Houston didn't miss out on the week of tribute. The sheer impact Lexis had in this game really showed and it was crazy to see for my very own eyes just how much these other niggas respected Lexis as IRG's leader despite the fact at times these niggas couldn't stand him and wanted the empire he built. I don't know, for all them to have that kind of respect for Lexis just spoke volumes and was something unheard of, at least in all my years in this shit.

As for me, I saw Lexis as my own Dad and he treated me as his own son whether he wanted me as one or not, despite being apart of first gen and being in NBG, he genuinely gave me that father-son bond I never got to have. Not a day has gone by since he passed where I don't think about him. I know he wasn't at the trap for the last couple weeks of his life but walking into IRG's trap doesn't feel the same and we're all still coming to terms with the loss, especially trying to be there for Mom... even just talking about him like this, man its hard to believe he's not here. I can't even talk about the funeral, some other p.o.v will have to, I'm not ready to retell that moment yet.

Onto something lighter, life has been interesting. No one saw LJ getting married, especially to a female like London but he needs a strong woman to keep him in check because that nigga was too reckless from the moment he turned, I wanna say sixteen till he got locked up. I thought Trey and I were bad, nah this motherfucker took the cake and I can't even begin to count how many times he called my ass alone to pick him up from jail. Mom doesn't know about all those times I was called and its for the best.

We don't talk about the ladies he went through either. It was better when he had no idea what the female anatomy was because soon as he figured it out... absolute menace. I'm not talkin' Breezy Affect either, this was full on hide your daughters, girlfriends, wives, cousins and best friends unless you want them to carry around emotional baggage and heightened daddy issues till they're at least in their mid thirties. Much like with the jail calls, we never told Mom how bad he was and that's something all of second gen has agreed to take to the grave, she knows very little and the small amount she does know was enough to nearly send her to the grave too. So that's why, when I say none of us saw him getting married this young, I mean it. I'm glad Breezon turned out more like Vonnie than he did me, he's more grounded but definitely got my sense of humor so he's a good blend of the both of us and I'm just glad he didn't turn out like LJ because not even I would know how to go about that situation. Still fuckin' funny though when I can look back it all.

"Good morning, Chris." Vonnie's sweet voice rang as she came down the stairs and walked by me. I was sitting at the kitchen table drinking some coffee while I waited for her to get up. She reached down to kiss my cheek and I smiled at her. "You hungry?"

"Am I not eating for three races?" I questioned back which got a laugh out of her. "Of course I'm hungry, especially if you're cooking. I wouldn't miss a meal, especially because it's your dessert I'm after."

"Oh is that so?" I nodded. "Well dessert is only for after dinner." I didn't like that response and now that has me feeling a type of way. "No you can't spoil dinner either." I wasn't even gonna! However, I peeped that she took off her robe, hanging it on the back of the other chair as she put on her apron... you're kidding me right now.
