Chapter 9

Primo calling is one hell of a big shock to Cody. Sa maraming taon na agent siya ng family ay hindi pa siya natatawagan ni Primo.

Primo is the king of the family. Siya ang founder and leader. Napakailap nito. Kung grabe ang pagsikreto sa katauhan ng mga agents, mas high level naman ang pagsikreto sa katauhan ng nasabing pinuno.

It would have been nice kung bibigyan siya ng papuri ng pinuno but his instincts tell him na hindi iyon ang mangyayari. For the whole day, he anticipated the call from the leader.

Habang naghihintay ay binasa muna niya ang email na natanggap mula kay L tungkol sa katauhan ni Luna.

According sa report na binabasa niya, Luna Crisostomo was one of the orphans of St. Therese Orphanage 12 years ago. Kasama nito sa orphanage ang nakatatandang kapatid na babae na si Oriana Crisostomo.

"Sun and Moon, huh?", komento ni Cody sa nabasa. Kung tama kasi ang pagkakatanda niya, Oriana means 'sun' while Luna means 'moon'.

Two years after nilang malagay sa ampunan ay biglang nagkaroon ng sunog doon. At least, that's what was officially recorded. In truth, there were armed men who invaded the orphanage and they were looking for the children orphaned by a well-known chemist husband-and-wife pair. These children were Oriana and Luna.

Fortunately, the armed men weren't able to get their hands on the kids. However, nagkahiwalay ang magkapatid ng hindi inaasahan. Luna fell out of radar after the commotion in the orphanage. There were records of Oriana searching for her younger sister but to no avail. It was five years later when she purposely fell out of radar herself. No one knows where the sisters were, until now na nahanap na nila ang nakababatang Crisostomo. Back tracing what happened to Luna from where she was found, napag-alaman na ang babae ay napulot pala ni Don Elizalde.

Ikinagulat ni Cody ang sumunod na nabasa sa report.

Luna's a genius chemist! At ito ang nag-develop sa drug na dapat sana ay ima-mass produce nina Don Elizalde kung hindi lang napigilan ng family.

"Fuck!", mura ni Cody dahil mukhang alam na niya ang patutunguhan ng pag-uusap nila ni Primo mamaya.

It was 11PM when the call from the leader came through. Hindi niya ini-expect na tatawag ito dahil mas sanay siya na text ang initial contact niya sa kahit na sino sa family. He only saw an unknown number at hindi niya inaasahan na ito na pala ang kausap niya when he picked up the phone.

"Agent Havoc.", sabi ng nasa kabilang linya. Malamig ang boses nito, mukhang nasa late twenties or early thirties. Hindi sigurado  si Cody kung pinadaan ba sa voice changer ang boses nito.

"Primo?", paninigurado niya.

"None other.", sagot nito. "You understand I'm not calling to congratulate you for a job well done with Don Elizalde, right?"

"Yes, sir."

"I want you to hand over Luna Crisostomo to my custody.", diretsong sabi ng nasa kabilang linya.

'Hand over?', ulit ni Cody sa sinabi nito sa isip. Medyo nakahinga siya ng maluwag dahil ang ini-expect niya ay uutusan siyang dispatsahin ang babae.

"What do you plan to do with her, sir?", tanong ni Cody.

"She's useful.", sagot ni Primo. "I'll have her work in the R&D department."

Napakunot-noo si Cody sa tinuran ng pinuno. With how the leader talked, it was as if it was a given na magtatrabaho na sa kanila si Luna.

"Have her work?", ulit ni Cody. "Is this in the presumption that she will agree to work with us? What if she refuse?"

Tumahimik sandali ang nasa kabilang linya. Kinabahan siya sa sandaling katahimikang iyon.
