"Hey, guys," 12-year-old Tyler Seguin began, leaning toward the group. "I have a game."

14-year-old Jamie Benn sighed, rolling his eyes. "What is it this time?"

"Let's play Truth or Dare."

"Let's do it!" 13-year-old (Your Full Name) exclaimed.

"No," Jamie protested.

"C'mon, Jamie. Let 'em have some fun," 16-year-old Jordie Benn said. Though he was the oldest in the group, he was all for silly games like this.

"Yeah, Jamie. Let's play!" (Your Name) said.

He looked over at her for a few moments before he caved. "Fine."

Tyler and (Your Name) cheered, high-fiving each other in celebration. Jamie moved to sit on the floor where the others were sitting, creating a small circle.

"Tyler, you go first," (Your Name) told him. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth," he answered.

Jordie groaned. "Lame!"

"How many girlfriends have you had?" (Your Name) asked, causing Tyler to laugh. He thought for a moment and she giggled, finding the time it took him to figure out the question funny. She glanced over at Jamie, who quickly looked away from her.

"I'm going to say... 5," Tyler said, causing Jordie to laugh.

"What a player!" he exclaimed. (Your Name) giggled again and looked over at Jamie, who quickly looked away from her again.

"(Your Name)! Truth or dare?" Tyler questioned.

"Dare," she answered with a smirk.

Tyler hummed, thinking. "I dare you to kiss Jamie."

Immediately, (Your Name)'s face felt like it was on fire. Her heart began to race and she was shaking because of how nervous she felt. Tyler knew she had a crush on him, of course, he had dared her to do that.

She looked over at Jamie, whose face was very red. (Your Name) was starting to feel weak. "I'll do it, um, if you're okay with it," Jamie managed, obviously embarrassed as well.

"It's okay," she said softly, careful to not sound too eager. Jamie smiled at her before shifting to face her. She did the same before looking Jamie in the eye. It felt like her whole body was shaking as Jamie began to lean forward.

(Your Name) did the same, feeling like she might pass out as he got closer. It felt like her whole world stopped as his lips met hers. They were only connected for a moment, but it felt like a lifetime.

She pulled away quickly, embarrassed beyond belief. Tyler clapped, applauding the act. (Your Name) rolled her eyes before looking over at Jamie. He looked over at her, his face still red. He gave her a nervous smile, and honestly, she didn't regret kissing him at all.

13 years later...

TYLER
you're in dallas this weekend, right?

yeah. leaving for the airport soon

TYLER
come visit me. i have a surprise for you

That Saturday, old friends Tyler and (Your Name) met up for the first time in years. He had invited her over to his apartment and she had gone willingly, excited to see him again. She greeted him with a hug, unable to wipe a smile off her face.

"What was that surprise you were talking about, anyway?" (Your Name) questioned as she sat down on Tyler's couch. Tyler's phone buzzed and he looked down, reading the message quickly before closing his phone.

"We can leave now," he said, grinning over at you. "We're going on a little field trip."

15 minutes later, they were outside of an apartment building. (Your Name) looked over at Tyler, who just grinned at her and began to walk in. Shaking her head, she followed him in.

They took the elevator to one of the top floors and Tyler knocked on the door closest to it. When the door opened, (Your Name)'s mouth almost dropped open and her heart began to race like it had so many times before.

"Jamie?"
