Cheer up

Towards the end of dinner, I walked towards the hufflepuff table to sit by Maria Brown. Ok I know it's wrong but , when I'm bored I listen to what people are thinking. So, I sat next to the dark haired girl and wow was she in for a heartbreak.

Maria had a huge crush on Nathan Rosier ,my brother! You see the only problem with that is that my brother is a little ...gay. I mean he doesn't really bring it up in a conversation unless it needs to be said and he just recently came out so not to many people knew. I genuinely felt bad for her and boy was she head over heals for him.

Then it was time for the prefects to lead the first years to the dorms. As I was walking out of the hall I noticed the girl next to me was Dani Brown. I didn't know her personally but from reading her I could tell she was a little down. Then it happened . The perfect know it all from ravenclaw slipped. She slipped. Let me tell you a little something about Dani,she never fails at anything and that includes walking. Of course I decided to go up to her and help but, like I do most of the time, I slipped. Honestly I was used to it by now. But in front of Dani. She actually had the potential to ruin my life.

You see , Dani was popular but I never really saw her hanging out with anybody except for her sister.

She started talking as we helped each other up."Hey don't I know you?" she asked. She knew me. Like I said before I know I sholdnt do it but I read into her mind. She knew me because apparently she was there that day I fel down a whle flight of stairs.

"Umm...no.... no... I don't think so." I said with some nervous laughter.

"Oh well where are my manners," she laughed holding her hand out ,"Dani Brown."

I shaked her hand unknowingly,"Um...Masie Rosier."

She started to walk off but I stopped her before she got too far,"Cheer up a bit I don't see you smile much."
