Her scream pierced through the air. The Daeth still had his hand on her chest. I didn't know what he was doing, but whatever it was, was causing great pain.
Krysmond tried to fight against his captors but it was no use. There were too many of them and not enough of us. I look over at Aeryn, she was sobbing and had her head hung low.
Kyrads eyes were full of hatred towards the Daeth. He was staring ahead of him with a straight face. Only sign of emotion was in his eyes.
Blaekes face was full of grief as he watched Aeryn. He couldn't handle her being like this. I could see the grief slowly turn to Anger the longer he watched her. He looked away from her and towards Aerybella.
You can stop this you know. He said to me. What does he mean? I've only just started learning how to use my powers. But he was right, I could stop it I just didn't know how.
I know... I just don't know how. He turns and looks at me.
Your powerful Kryselis, you can do whatever you want. He looks forward again, leaving me to my thoughts.
I close my eyes and focus on the energy flowing around. The flow of it was stronger than I've ever felt. I assume it was because of the portal and everyone else around me.
I focused on that energy and let it flow through me. Filling every vein in my body. Warmth spread over my skin as I started to glow.
My eyes snapped opened as I felt the Daeth hold on me grow stronger. They were scared.
I look up at the sky and watch as dark clouds quickly formed, darking the sky. I smiled. I was doing it.
I looked around me and everyone was panicking, not knowing what was going on. I made eye contact with Blaeke and he winked at me. He knew it was me.
Thank you. I say to him in my mind. He nodded his head and looked away again.
I looked in front of me, observing the scene in front of me. The Daeth had stopped what he was doing and momentarily looked towards the sky. He cursed and thrust his hand around Aerybellas neck.
She yelled out in agony, slowly falling to her knees. Her glow was fading along with the color of her skin. Krysmond tried to break away once more but failed.
Come on. You can do this Kryselis. I close my eyes and focus on the sky above. I could sense the clouds swelling with water, ready to open it gates at any moment. Come on.
Aeryn shreaked, causing my eyes to fly open. Aerybellas skin was grey and lifeless. Her eyes rolled back into the back of her head. The Daeth let go of her and she fell to the ground in a pile of ash.
He had killed her. My breath caught in my throat. My mother was dead and I hardly even knew her. Anger ripped through me, replacing everything in my body. Everyone was struggling against the Daeth, full of anger.
I made eye contact with the Praem, commanding them to leave. They looked confused as they did what I willed them to do. The Daeth turned to us and made his way over.
The clouds opened up and sheets of rain fell from the sky. The Daeth yelled and let go of everyone. Steam came off their skin when the water hit, weakening them.
Everyone instantly jumped up and started attacking. They were all back to back, fighting off the Daeth. The ground was rumbling and vines were grabbing at the feet of the Daeth. Holding them in place, giving us the advantage.
The Daeth Kyrad was fighting had somehow managed to get out of the vines. They were fighting hand to hand, falling to the ground and rolling. Kyrad landed a few blows to the Daeths face. He didn't see the Daeths free hand as it made contact with the side of his head.
