The Force Between Us // Kylo Ren

Chapter XIII

Kylo

 
LAST NIGHT I couldn't get to sleep. The very thought of Roe's name haunted me and I couldn't get her out of my head. I try to shake her from my mind knowing her light is slowly poisoning me but I felt as if the only antidote to ease my pain was her.

I wake up and get dressed then I stride towards the training room, cape billowing behind me. When I pass members of the First Order they stop and salute me but I know they are silently cowering in my presence. I smirk and don't igknolwegde them as I pass.
I reach the training room and I wait. I begin to grow impatient and I decided to go check on my apprentice. I know that it was only one minute after 6 but I don't like to be kept waiting. I quickly get to her room and as I round the corner I see her door open. I begin to grow angry and ignite my light saber as I near her door. I stand in the door way of Roe's room taking in deep breaths trying to control my anger. I hear a voice from the intercom and I cock my head towards the noise. Once I hear that a prisoner is lose I yell enraged and then destroy the door frame to the room. I walk away without a care of the damage because I know some sorry of an excuse First Order member will fix it.
I use the Force to find her and when I feel her running through the west wing I change direction and advanced towards the silly girl who tried to escape me.
I finally reach the commotion in a long corridor as storm troopers run trying to catch Roe. I was so frustrated and mad at her for running away when I was trying to make her life here more comfortable. I started using the Force throwing anybody who got in my way. That's when I hear a blast go off I then start to sprint as storm trooper fly in my wake. The storm troopers became smarter and created a tunnel for me to run in. When I reached the edge of the crowd I see a crumpled bloody body on the floor. I slow down and I try to resist the urge to run to her side. When I stand over I start to panic as I see how much blood she lost. I bend down hovering over her not knowing what to do. She cries out in pain and at that point I had totally forgotten how mad I was at her for trying to escape. Instead I directed my anger at the person who inflicted the blaster wound on her.
I turn to face the group of storm troopers demanding to know who hurt her. No one steps forward so I use the Force to read their thoughts. When I find the trooper who fired I smirk knowing I have him. Then instantly he begins to choke. He try's to grab at the invisible force but I squeeze until all the life is drained from him and he falls to the floor motionless. I sense a dark force from behind me as I cast a glance at Roe seeing she has the same expression as I do. Maybe I do stand a chance at turning Roe to the dark side. I dismiss the storm troopers and scoop up Roe. On my way to the medical wing Roe passes out due to the loss of blood so I rush as fast as I can while still maintaining a collected figure.
I stay with Roe determined to be there when she wakes up. I try to tell myself I want to see her to tell her that she will start training two days from now. But I know better than that because I had been developing this foreign feeling when ever I am around her. When the doctor leaves I take my mask off knowing no one will disturb me.

Roe try's to sit up but then falls back in pain. I am instantly at her side trying to see if I can help with anything. I try to ignore her bare leg but some how my gaze always seemed to wander towards it. I look at her face once more and see a smile etched on it. She is so beautiful. Her golden hair is messy but it forms a hallo around her head as if she was sent from the creator of nature itself. A smile tugs at my lips when I start to feel the strange feeling bubble inside of me. I yank myself away from her bed trying to dampen this feeling I know I shouldn't have. I run my hand through my hair and I turn to face her. I tell her about how I expect her to train in two days then put on my helmet and leave without another word. I hear her call out but I ignore it and keep walking.
     I make my way through the corridors when I see General Hux turn a corner and start to make his way towards me. I turn around and start walking away hoping he didn't see me but then I hear him say, "Ah Kylo Ren just the person I was looking for."
     "And why is that?" I snap at him still mad for torturing  Roe for information we already had.
    "Now now calm down there is no need to throw a hissy fit," he sneers at me, "I only wanted to tell you that Supreme Leader Snoke request an audience with you. You know to make sure your feelings are in check." He drags out in check as to suggest something was wrong with me and my blood boils.
     "My feelings are quite in check if you ask me. If there is anyone here that might be showing any hint of light it would be you."
    "Or that girl you call your apprentice. Oh wait wasn't she that rebel scum that once was your prisoner."  He looks at me knowing he hit a chord and I feel as if I could pull out my light saber and end his life right now. But I turn around and head to the room where I will meet Snoke. The words Hux said still flash in my mind. And the thing that scares me the most is maybe he is right maybe there is too much light surrounding me for my darkness to thrive.

I love writing Kylo PROV!! Though it was an appropriate time to see the action through his eyes.
