The Force Between Us // Kylo Ren

Chapter XXVI

I FEEL SOMETHING TICKLE THE NAPE OF MY NECK. My eyes shoot open and panic arises in my throats as I observe an unfamiliar landscape. I am about to get up when I hear a deep sigh behind me. I peek over my should and see the one man that truly makes me happy. I almost giggle as I feel his breath tickle my neck once more but I am careful not to wake him up. I slowly but gentle turn my body around so I am facing Kylo.  I watch him peacefully sleep knowing he hasn't had sleep like this in a long time.
     He then makes a sudden movement and rolls over on to his stomach and in the process drapes an arm over me. I instinctively scoot in closer to him as I bury my face in his chest. I feel his arms tighten as he lets out another big sigh. I look up towards his face to see him smiling at me. I smile back at him silently cursing myself for waking him up.
    "Good morning. My little apprentice." I shiver at his deep morning voice but then twist my nose in distaste.
    "I told you not to call me that anymore."
    "Well what do you suppose I should call my little star?"
     "Kylo I honestly don't care. No matter what you call me I know you still like me."
     "Is it really that easy to notice, my little star?" I am a little annoyed that no matter what nickname he give me it always has "little" infront of it but at least it is better then apprentice.
       "Notice what?"
   "That I think I am falling for the most wonderful girl in the galaxy." I stare at Kylo shocked at what he said and I see something like regret flash across is face. But I don't want him to regret what he said. I lean in as I give him a kiss. It is just one kiss but it was probably one of the best ones we had.
       "Kylo, you don't know how much that means to me and I hope you know that before you walked in my life I had always felt I was missing something. Now I know that what I was missing was you."
      A toothy grin spreads across his face and I begin to feel tingles spread across my body. His rough hands cup my face as our lips find each other. I tangle my hands in his hair as he rolls on top of me to deepen the kiss. Being the controlling person I am I try to roll him over so I am on top but we end up rolling off the bed. We begin to laugh as we are both sprawled out on the floor. We look at each other once more and just lay there in each other's arms. Staring into each other's eyes wonder what we are thinking but not daring to use the Force that would disrupt this moment.
When suddenly some one knocks on the door.
      Kylo turns around furious and yells
  "What!" I here a muffled storm trooper say,
       "Supreme Leader Snoke wants to see you.  Oh and he also said to bring the girl with you."
     I then hear the storm trooper march away  as Kylo turns around and makes eye contact with me. It almost seems like Kylo looks worried but he looks away before I can tell if he is.
       "You are not going to see Snoke." Kylo commands. I am a little taken back but I am glad he says it because I know Kylo is shielding me from Snoke for a good reason. But I also know that if I don't go Kylo will get punished.
      "Kylo I appreciate you trying to protect me but I can't refuse Supreme Leader Snoke's command. As much as I like to we both know what will happen if I do."
     Kylo sees the logic behind my statement and forcefully says, "Fine go get dressed and I will meet you outside your door.
   I race to my room as I throw on black pants, long sleeve shirt and boots then I pullover my cape as I braided my hair quickly. I open the door as I see Kylo's back turned to me. I slip my hand into his and I give it a squeeze.
      "Lets go."
    We walk down the hallways with out a word. I ponder over what Snoke will look like and if he is as cruel as they say he is. Just as we near the corner Kylo speaks,
     "When we get in there let me do the talking. Don't talk unless you are spoken too. But most importantly guard your mind he can take what ever he wants when ever he wants." We stop out the door as he looks at me. He looks worried but I give him a reassuring smile. He nods and then opens the door.
       I am taken back by how big the room is. The room is pitch black and the only light comes from a circle cut out from the celling. There is one long walk Way that is lined with lights. We both step on the pathway as fog rolls at our feet. I let go of Kylo's hand and I walk behind him hoping that Kylo will shield me from Snoke. When we reach the end of the path there is nothing there until a giant figure flickers on. At first I think the figure is real but then I notice a fuzzy blue aura around it realizing it is a hologram.
     "Hello Kylo Ren and Roe." I shiver as Snokes voice booms across the room. I can't make eye contact because his face is to mangled to look at. There seems to be grooves and scars running all across his face and they horrify me.
     "Hello Supreme Leader Snoke." Kylo kneels down and I mimic  his actions. When we stand back up again I see Snoke sneering at us I cowardly hide behind Kylo.
     " I have summoned you hear to tell you that there has been an awakening in the Force.  Have you felt it?" It is true I did feel like something shift in the Force when I had woken up. But Kylo speaks for us both.
     "Yes I have felt it."
    " Good. This awakening though comes from the light side and it holds the same amount of hope that was felt the last awakening," Snoke swings his head as he points a bony finger at me, "The same amount of hope we felt when you first discovered the Force." I was shocked by this comment. It had never occurred to me that Kylo had sensed me before I had even known I contained the Force. And now there is one more person on the galaxy that contains the Force. It make me a little happy knowing there is more but then I realize why having the awakening born to light is a problem.
     "You were born to light Roe. Yet somehow your hope turned to hatred. Your light turned to darkness. You prove that pure light can turn to pure darkness. You and Kylo are not so different in that way. So we now have hope that we will be able to make the new awakening come to our side. Just as you had Roe."
He smirks at me and I begin to panic not knowing what to do. Kylo saved me by asking.
    "Is that all you wanted Roe for. Just to probe and scare her."
     "Careful young Jedi you tread on dangerous territory. Though Roe has changed her ways to darkness I sense a light still in her that is slowly spreading into you."
    Kylo completely ignores Snoke as he sternly says. "If that is all can Roe go now?"
   "If you insist but this won't be the last time we meet." Snoke lazy waves his hand motioning me to leave. I stare at Kylo as he silently beckons me to go. I give him a grateful smile and I turn around marching out of the room.
     When I finally exited the room I let out a faint sigh. I press myself against the wall. Snoke had made me realized just how much I had changed. And to be honest I did enjoy the power the dark side gave but every time I did something for the dark side I felt myself give a little of myself away. I had to get out of here before darkness takes complete control of me. But I know I wouldn't be able to leave without Kylo so I will have to take him with me. Either by his own will or by force.
