MY BLOOD BEGINS TO BOIL with hatred as we race down the halls. How did she get out? That little rebel scum doesn't know who she is messing with!
I am so mad and frustrated that I take my anger out on Kylo. "You know this is your fault." I pant out.
"My fault? How is this my fault?" He snaps back at me.
"You are the one who brought this girl instead of the droid! You let your emotions get in the way of the mission. This is not what Supreme Leader trained you to be like." I almost whisper the last phrase but I regret saying it because Kylo stops dead in his tracks. He turns to face me with eyes as hard as ice yet some how I see flames of anger flickering in them.
"Don't you ever say that again! I am strong with the dark side! You have no right to say these things, you are just a pathetic excuse for a dark Jedi. You were born to a slave family in the dusty slums and that is what you will always be! YOU ARE NOTHING!" Kylo is inches away from my face and I know he can see the tears that well up but he does nothing to comfort me.
"You are a monster and I wish you had killed me back on the battle field instead of bringing me to the god forsaken place!" By now the tears are streaming down my face and I brush them away. I turn away and start walking away from him. Kylo stands there watching me and I turn around to say one last thing.
"You know what the crazy thing is?"
"What?" He spats back.
"It's crazy to think that I fell in love with the man behind the mask. But now I realize that he is no different then the monster I am starring at right now." I start to run as the tears clouded my vision.
By the time I stopped I had no idea where I was. I remember feeling the cool air of outside hitting my face and I realized I was in a building I had never seen. I brush my tears away and observe my surroundings. I am in a large dome like area where everything is dark except for some red lights. There were metal stairs and walk ways. The whole room was shaped like a cylinder and in the middle of the room lays a long walk way with no railings that reaches to each end of the room.
I walk up to the long walk way and I am about to step on it when I hear a door hiss open. I quickly duck behind a column. I stood hidden in the shadows as I watched events unfold around me. I watched as Han Solo and chewbakka walk in. They place little circle things all around the place. They never got to my side of the room because a group of storm troopers race in. I don't pay attention to what they do because my eyes lock on a figure that had just broke my heart.
Kylo doesn't try to look for the intruders but instead he walks to the middle of the long walkway. I am at the same level as him and I stand near the end of the path. Though I am hidden from the eyes view I know that Kylo senses me because he stares directly where I am. He stops and I step out of the shadows. I am about to walk into the eire red light but I quickly melt back into the shadows because Han Solo steps onto the platform.
"Ben!" Han shouts. I am confused at who he is talking about but Kylo turns almost responding to that name.
"Han Solo. I've been waiting for this day for a long time." His contorted voice makes this comment sound menacing but I feel sorrow behind the words.
"Take off that mask. You don't need it. " I am surprised by how easily Kylo has been taking off his mask in front of people these days.
"What do you think you'll see if I do? "
"The face of my son" I stumble back when I hear these words as I make a connection. Han Solo is Kylo Ren's dad. So that means that Kylo isn't Kylo Ren he is Ben Solo. And this means that Kylo wasn't born to the dark side. This explains why he is so touchy on the subject. For some reason by knowing this information I feel our connection grow know we both arose from light and turned to dark. But the pain in my heart from earlier is still fresh and I don't forgive him.
"Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish like his father."
"That's what Snoke wants you to believe. But it's not true. My son is alive." Han responds.
"No. The Supreme Leader is wise."
"Snoke is using you for your power. When he gets what he wants, he'll crush you. You know it's true."
"It's too late."
"No, it's not. Leave here with me. Come home. We miss you."
"I'm being torn apart. I want to be free of this pain. I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it. Will you help me?"
My heart aches to go comfort him because I feel the same way. But something shifts and I sense a change in Kylo. I know what is going to happened as Kylo raises his light saber and Han grabs it.
"Yes. Anything." I run out from my covers and try to stop what is about to happen because I know Kylo will regret this. I am to late because I see the life drain of of Han's eyes as he touches Kylo's face lovingly and then falls into the dark abyss. I stop running shocked by what happened when I hear someone yell no. I look up and I see the girl and at her side is no other the FN2187. I see chewbakka scream and then I watch as a red streak spring from his cross bow. I am to slow when I react and I watch the blast hit Kylo in the ribs. I race towards him as the intruders exit.
Kylo falls into my arms. As I see his eyes glaze over. He just lays there staring at me as I read his thoughts. There is agony, regret, guilt, confusion, and an overwhelming sense of completion. I know that he is struggling and I share is pain. so I forget all about what I said and what he said. I am back to the girl who loves the man behind the mask.Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.
