"Speed? Yes!" One guy threw his hands in the air.
That was Jason, the speedy guy in the Academy.
Which is also the only thing he was good at.
Literally.
No wonder he's a decoy.I exited the Academy.
I don't know what type of magic they did or something but there was already a track outside.
There wasn't any track in the first place so this is some witchy shit.Jason started doing jumping jacks and jogging in place.
Well more like extreme running in place. I couldn't even see his legs.
This dude is so excited."This running track here is 1,000 meters. Usually a track is about 400 meters? I'm not sure. But since you guys are insanely inhuman, I'd expect you all to finish running. If you give up, just stop." Agent 6 spoke, chewing on a granola bar.
We all nodded and Jason bounced up and down in excitement.
Agent 6 pointed to a group of five people.
"You five go first. You may use your power to
increase your speed, but you can not use it to slow down others. It is not a race." Agent 6 spat, crumbs flying out his mouth. Those five people consisted of 3 boys and 2 girls. I don't know any of them.
"Runners take your mark..." Agent 6 started.
"Go!"And then they started.
Very slowly."Dude use your power to help you or something!" James yelled.
But none of them used anything.
Are their powers really that useless when it comes to speed?
I yawned as we waited half an hour until one boy quit. And since quitting is contagious, one more boy and one girl also quit.
Two of them kept running and didn't make it to 1,000 meters. Only about 550 meters.Agent 6 disappointedly shook his head and marked down the scores of the five kids.
"Next five." He ordered.
These five kids walked up and I recognized one of them.
It was that one guy who had metal wings.
He was probably going to use that. And sure enough, my guess was right because as soon as the whistle blew, that dude blasted silver wings out from behind and flew with all his might.
My eyes nearly went blind from trying to keep up.
One of the girls smirked and got down on her knees. Her skin slowly mushed together as she grew tiny hairs.
Suddenly, she was a cheetah racing down on the track.Ah a morphing power? That's quite convenient.
They finished at 7 minutes and Agent 6 stood up, clapping enthusiastically.
The other three students stopped at 400 meters. This went on and on with James quitting halfway at 500 meters.
Gary quit at 230 meters because he said that sweat doesn't make him look attractive anymore. This dude. When did we even become friends?
Jason came up next and everyone's jaw opened completely wide.
Yes, even mine.Agent 6 stood up, rubbing his temples.
"This is a record. Jason completed the full track of 1,000 meters in 1.2 seconds. Never have I seen anything like this..."Yeah I wasn't gonna beat that. Jason is the fastest anyway.
I was the speed of light...but what's his?
The speed of air? Or he's probably just extremely fast."Last 6." Agent 6 waved his hand furiously to get this over with.
And yes, last 6.
Since there's 51 students here at the Academy now.
I was running with both Lilliana and Ena, along with 3 others.
