I ran all the way back to the Academy, where the students were brought inside.
The healers spent time healing the other students, although they needed it themselves.

"Raymond..." Someone coughed.
I turned my attention towards the sound and scratched the back of my neck.

"Who said that?"

"You idiot."
I didn't even bother to ask who it was.
Gary was laying flat with his face to the ground.

I snickered.
"Look who's eating dirt."

Gary stayed put while the healers' hands illuminated with light.
Burn marks slowly sowed itself back up along Gary's ribs.

I winced.
"That must've hurt. How'd you get it?" I sat next to him.

He finally looked up from the ground, eyeing me up and down.
"I don't know. I wonder who."

Well damn.
My bad.
I didn't have a choice.

"...where's James?"

Gary sighed.
"You think I know? I've been staring and eating the ground for half an hour."

Well damn again.

I paid him no mind as I stood up and walked where Dr. Cory was.
She and the agents were desperately trying to put up the barrier of the Academy again.

They looked so concentrated, I didn't want to bother them.

But I was bored so I did.
"HEYA!" I patted my hand on Dr. Cory's shoulder.
She stumbled forward and tried to whack me.

I backflipped as she gave me a death glare.
"We were so close to finishing."

"Where are the Eccentric kings?" I asked, ignoring her.

Her eyebrows furrowed. "Do you really not see?"
Huh?
I followed her eyes to spot the Eccentric kings laying on the ground in a group.
They were stacked like a bundle of clothes thrown, and paper towels were stuffed in their mouths.

"Wow..." I whistled.
"You must've been really angry."

Dr. Cory's eyes were red from glaring at me, but she looked friendlier now so I don't think she's going to kill me.
"Did you rescue anyone?"

"Only got to a little over 1,000."
She nodded.
Then I felt a smack on my head.
"Should've done more."

What does she even mean? That's a lot.

I didn't reply back and she continued to try to get the barrier back up.

I sighed and glanced at Elliot.
I never thought it'd be like this.

Everyone went back to Lilliana's house in about three hours. There was no training today because of all that happened.

"Hey guys...look at this." Ena pursed her lips as the news reporter came into view.

A fire broke out today by something unknown, burning dozens of buildings, and injuring a little over 500 people.
For now, there is no evidence of the dreadful incident, all except for a clip of an anonymous brave man.

*clip of strange man in leather, carrying eight students at a time*

I snatched the remote control and smashed the off button.
"I'm sure I destroyed the girls' phone...how did it come to this?"
