I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Steal from the rich?""But I don't think—"
"Too bad." She interrupted, and then once again, zap.
Rude.
I looked arounds as we landed in a dark place. The lights were all turned off and all we heard were snores.
I slid my feet in a circle.Tile flooring.
I looked at Ena, who seemed to get gloves out of nowhere.
She slid her fingers through the leather fabric, and handed me a black pair."We really are in a house. But where's the snoring coming from?"
Ena put a finger to her lips, and pointed.
I followed her finger direction. It landed on a large couch, with an elderly woman laying on it.
She looked exhausted. What's she doing here?
"That's probably the maid." Ena whispered.
Poor maid having to sleep on the couch.
I took a small step, my heel touching the ground before my toes.
Ena didn't even bothering walking.
She teleported at every corner of the room, searching for goods."Hey if you're gonna do that than you don't need my help right?" I whispered, taking another light step.
It took me about twenty steps to reach Ena, but then she turned around and teleported to the opposite end of the room.
Really?
This motherfuck—
"Raymond I need your help." Ena said.
I gave a sharp sigh. "I can't help you if you teleport every three seconds."
Ena scratched her head.
"Can you send a streak of lightning here? I can't see."A streak of lightning?
"I might burn the whole house on fire if I do that."Ena suddenly stopped moving and I was confused for a second.
What's going on?She pointed to the couch. The maid yawned and turned around.
Ena and I stayed there for a bit, not talking.
The snoring returned as Ena teleported to me.She had grabbed ahold onto a narrow vase and shoved it into my face.
"Wai—"The dust made its way into my nose and I clasped my hand over it.
Shit.
I squeezed my nose.
Fuck.
Can't sneeze.Zap.
I was suddenly outside.
I sneezed and the ground as boiling water flung out, sizzling the roof a bit.Gary might've learned to control his sneeze but I haven't that well.
"My bad." Ena muttered.Under the stars, I could see the white, glass vase, with strange blue swirls around it.
It was a pretty vase. But how much would it sell?
"It isn't enough. Let's go to more houses."
I rolled my eyes, and prepared for another zap.
We spent the whole night doing this, and had no sleep at all.
I didn't even help.
Ena did all of the work. She sold the objects early in the morning, and we ended up with $250.
Yes, we stole a lot of things.I felt a bit bad about it though. I went to school and heard some guy talking about how his house was robbed.
