Her Place

"Don't worry everybody. You all can stay at my place." Lilliana said.

My jaw dropped.
What? Everybody? Like all 51 students?

But I'm not about to question that.
I'm desperate for a place anyway.
"Gladly!" I said quickly.
Everybody soon joined in after I agreed.

Ena scratched her head.
"Nah, I'll come home. My sister and my parents probably know I'm alive so I'll live with them."

I shrugged. "Yeah go. You're useless anyway."

She trudged over in attempt to smack me but I dodged and tsk-ed her.
"Fine, I'll visit them and then come back to live with you guys."

Oh no.
That wasn't what I was aiming at.
Please don't come with us.

"Nah. You can go home if you want. Really, you don't have to live with us. Seriously..."
I said, desperately trying to get her to leave us alone.

"NO. I can't agree with anything you say. I'm visiting and then I'll be with you guys."

I rolled my eyes to the back of my head. I shouldn't have said anything. Now I have an angry dwarf beside me.
The other guys seemed happy though.

Perverts I'm telling you, perverts.
I shoved Ena forward.

"Then go. Go visit your parents. We'll wait for you. And you better not take too long." I shooed her away and she gave me a glare.
But she went anyway, thank god.

Meanwhile, all 50 of us stood behind the school.
It was still daytime so a lot of students were coming out the school building.
I don't think we look real suspicious or anything.

Gary hopped alongside me happily.
"Hey Ray. Hey hey hey h—"

"Whattt?" I asked.

"We only have a few pairs of clothes. We should go buy some more together some day. And it's getting cold outside too."

Hm, true.
I nodded.

"Hey James wanna join us when we go shopping for fall and winter clothes?" Gary asked happily.

James had a bored look on his face.
"I don't get affected by the cold. So nah."

Ah I forgot he had ice powers.
Man, I can't imagine how strong he would be in the winter.
That dude can probably control the goddamn world.

And maybe...just maybe,
he'd beat me in a battle.

Maybe.

Ena returned back after a half an hour, and by that time, all the students left.
Except for some wandering people who exited just now.
Probably detention.
Detention on the first day of school...

"What took you so long, you dwarf?" I muttered.
Ena snapped back angrily. "30 minutes isn't long for a family reunion. You act like you have no family at all!"

Ouch.
Those words stung a little, but I didn't show it.
I faked a smirk instead because that was all I could do for now.
I haven't really told anyone here about my family problems. Not even Gary.

"Alright let's head to my place now." Lilliana said cooly.
She acts tough in normal situations, but when I bring up the fact that she's a decoy and she's a horrible offense, she starts whining.
