Raymond's POV:
A clasp of thunder awoken James and I, as we tried to use leaves to cover us from the rain.

"Hey, didn't Dr. Cory say you were allowed to leave once you figured out your power?" I asked.

James looked at me and nodded. "She telepethicatically spoke to me. Said I was allowed to leave whenever when I felt like it. I said ok but I want to explore this place for a while."

EXPLORE? He must have some guts.
I want to leave as soon as possible.

I thought of that spider he flung away.

Yep...I want to leave.

He touched the wet soil in the ground.
"Besides, you don't know how to make a fire." He finished.

I smiled. "Does that mean we're friends?"
I shrieked in his ear and clapped joyfully.

I never had one before and I wondered how it felt like.

He nodded slightly and smirked. "But don't fall in love with me. I'm straight." He chuckled and I slapped his head.

He frowned and took a branch.
A few seconds later, the branch collided with my head and I realized I was being hit with a stick.

The rain fell down harder and from the looks of it, we're probably going to drown.

I poked him continuously.

"What do we do?"

He smirked.

The raindrops started gathering together, like there was wind forcing it to join.

James did small hand motions and the raindrops combined and froze to make an ice shield around us.

"Where did you learn that?" I asked with curiosity almost leaking out.

"I don't know."

"Stupid."
________next morning_____
"Dude. I told you I wasn't gay." James said and I realized I was laying down on his lap.

"Did I stutter? Yeah, didn't think so. Get off." He spat.

I quickly sat up, inspecting his thighs and seeing if they have any drool on them.
Nope. Thank god.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I'M STRAIGHT." He shrieked for the first time, and covered his legs when he realized I was looking at them.

"Let's find the others. I wanna see their powers." James abruptly said to change the topic and pulled me up using my collar.

Violent much?
My hand is right here.

I yawned sleepily. The ice had already melted a bit so we could just step out.

For about 15 minutes, we hiked through the woods.

It was a totally non-scary trip. So non-scary that oh, I only fell down and got...hm...43 scratches on my leg in 15 minutes. Woah what a record.
Scratch the part where I said I haven't gotten any new bruises.

Yeah, blame the damn woods for having spiders and centipedes.

And get this, James flung all of them. The centipedes too.
Like, I KEPT TELLING HIM TO NOT MESS WITH THEM BUT NOOOO HE FLUNG THEM OFF LIKE IT WAS A LADY BUG.
AND HE THOUGHT IT'D BE FUN TO FREEZE A SPIDER AND PUT IT ON MY HEAD.

Yeah it wasn't scary at all. If this is what a friend is like, they probably would all go to hell.
Fact of the day right there.

James held up a damn black beetle and told me to open my mouth.
