I reached my class, which was English.
I was fine with that class, mainly because it was a male teacher.

And he's apparently nicer than the other teachers. I don't constantly get dirty glances from him.

I grabbed one of my older pencils, twirling it rapidly between my fingers.

"Eliot would you please read the next passage out loud?" The teacher spoke.

I dropped my pencil.
Eliot?

I turned around to where a soft voice spoke.
Sure enough, I could see his puffy hair looking down on his desk.

There were murmurs around him.
"Um..." he started.

"In the y-year 1876...President And-Andrew J—"

I yawned. Seriously...

•••
Eliot spent about half of English class trying to say two sentences.
I can't tell whether I should be thankful to him or sock him in the face.

When the bell rang, he packed his things up frantically, like someone was going to murder him.

I stayed behind at my desk, watching him.
Did that sound creepy?

Eliot quit putting his stuff away, and carried about two textbooks with him instead.
I started following.

I have my classes too, but I was more interested in pursuing my mission.
Eliot walked out, tripping on the ground.

I shook my head.

But I stood from afar, not helping him.

This guy walked to Eliot, offering a hand.

I smiled.
Glad to know there's nice people out there.
Eliot looked up, extending his hand.

The guy immediately retracted his instead.
I gasped.

"This basta—" I seethed, finding myself step forward.

A hand pressed against my chest, and I turned to see Jun-Seo, who was also looking at Eliot.

"Where'd you come from?" I asked, glaring at him.

"The sky."

I snickered. "What are you doing here?"
"I happened to pass by...oh wait that rhymes. I'm such a poet." He complimented himself.

Could this dude get any cockier...

Eliot slowly got up from the ground, and started to pick up his belongings.
I stepped forward to try to help, but Jun-Seo held me back again.

Why?
I wanted to ask him, but he had a distant look in his eyes.
And I felt like if I asked, he might not tell me.

"I should go to class now." I told Jun-Seo, shoving his hand off of me.

He looked at me with a face I couldn't decipher, but I brushed it off and started walking away.
I realized I've been walking away from a lot of things lately.

I could feel Jun-Seo's eyes on me.
Like he was watching whether or not I would actually go to class or help Eliot.

Oh don't you worry. I'm going to class for sure.
