"Jesus christ." I inhaled sharply, like I just reached the top of the staircase.

"Why are we doing this..." someone muttered from underneath.
"You act like I know." A girl snapped.
"Well I wasn't talking to you."
"Excuse me? Who are you to—"

I rolled my eyes as I shut my ears off from their bickering. Why are they complaining? I should be the one to. My palms are drenched in sweat.

Apparently Dr. Cory is making us hold hands with each other. For who knows what reason.
Dr. Cory smiled like she just got a cupcake.

We all made a sweaty, connected circle. And she was proud of that.
"I decided to include a game in our training today."

A game? Whoever sweats the most will lose? Well James would definitely win with his icy self.
I glanced over at James, who looked uncomfortable but bored at the same time.
His eyes kept twitching.
I think he might have an eye spasm.

"Well you all must be wondering about the game—"

"Not really." Everyone said in unison.
Except for me.
Jame's eye spasm got me off guard.

"Well who cares. I'll explain it anyway."

Oh dear god, she's probably gonna talk a lot.
The others sighed as Dr. Cory ignored them.
"Well here's how the game goes, once the bell rings, there will be attacks coming from every direction. Your job is to dodge those attacks while your hands are connected. Whoever the person who disconnects first will have to pay for the whole school's dinner!"

My eyes twitched as I heard a sound. I wasn't sure what that was though. I was more worried about my eyes.

Goddamn James transferring his spasm to me.
I reached up to secure my eyes from twitching.
But that didn't work.
Ugh why won't it stop twitching?

Dr. Cory looked at me as I to say something. So did the others, who breathed out in a sigh of relief.

"What?" I asked.
Their stares landed on my hands.
"What?" I repeated, looking at my palms.

What's wrong with it?
I kept staring at them. No one spoke until Agent 2 popped up from out of nowhere.

"YOOO RAYMOND BUDDY. GUESS YOU PAYING FOR ALL OF OUR FOOD!"

What? Huh?
I glanced down at my hands again, then looked around.
Everyone was connected.
Except me.

Then I remembered.
My twitching eye.

"FUCK. FUCK YOU JAMES."

His jaw dropped open, flabbergasted.
"WHAT DID I DO?"

I clenched my teeth.
Goddamn Dr. Cory too. She probably made this game because she was hungry and broke.

"Fine. Tomorrow afternoon at 6 in the Academy." I mumbled.

"WHAT'S THAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU MISTER! SAY IT AGAIN." Agent 2 hollered joyfully, pouncing up and down.

I gave him a glare.
"Go jump off a bridge."

Agent 2 ignored my remarks and laughed sinisterly.
The amount of crazy that crazy people become when food is involved.

The other students bursted out laughing too, jumping up and down.
"I'm too broke." I said.
"I'm gonna go rob a bank or something."

Dr. Cory opened her mouth to speak but then she nodded.

The only good thing about being in a magic school is that your teachers allow you to cause a bit of trouble here and there.
Because sooner or later, we'll be the ones repairing this wretched world.

"Can I join?" Ena pipped up.

Oh right, I forgot that she's a master of robbery.
I nodded and Ena smiled, tagging alongside.

"Cool, let's go."

I arched an eyebrow. "In this attire?"

Ena stared at me blankly.
"Yeah sure. Remember last time you even robbed a store in your whole cosplay like you were some characte—"
I clasped my hand over her mouth.

"Yeah sure let's go." I said, as I waved bye to the others.

"Pft you didn't have to shut me up." Ena stuck out her tongue after we left the building.
It was completely dark outside that I could barely see her face.
Just the outline.

"Well they don't know this is the second time I'm robbing."

Ena smiled. "They don't know this is my 93rd time."

I gasped. "Holy shit."

"Yep. You know all those news that say they couldn't find the robber? Well yeah, they're all me."

I smirked. "Amazing."

"You bet."
Even through the dark, I could see her smirk a bit.

Ena and I walked for a bit until Ena suddenly grabbed onto me.
Then zap.

My surroundings suddenly broke into swirling blue color and I felt like I was being sucked into a vacuum.
Then suddenly I was outside again, on top of a roof.

"What was that?" I asked, then realized.
"Oh right. I forgot you had teleportation."

Ena nodded. I could see her facial features now, that we were closer to the stars above us.

"I decided we aren't going to steal from stores."

Huh? I raised an eyebrow once again, but I realized she couldn't see me.
So I spoke instead.
"Then what?"

Ena pulled my close to her, and for a minute, I wanted to push her away.
But I realized we were on a roof and I'd probably kill both of us if I did that.

Even though I could only see the outline of her eyes, I heard her whisper very slowly, like she was trying to teach a little kid to say his first words.
"Let's steal from the rich."
