Not Right Now, but Later

"HELP!" That person cried.

"Geez, we hear you, we hear you." Jun-Seo muttered.
We were running across the park and reached a brick wall.

And guess what was there?
A goddamn alleyway.
Of course it has to be an alleyway.
Because every shady thing happens in an alleyway am I right?

But there at the scene, four guys surround this one dude who I couldn't see clearly.
Either way, that fight isn't fair.

"You little brat. How dare you fucking lie to us? Give us our damn money back." One of them seethed.
I could hear the anger and shakiness in his voice.
Well that's a dude that prioritizes in money.

Jun-Seo gazed at me worriedly but I didn't return the look back. I was too focused.

"I'll give you back the money tomorrow okay? I promise." The wimpy guy said hurriedly.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU FUCKING SAID LAST WEEK."
The voices echoed in the alley.

Eh? Looks like he owes something.
Well, serves him right.
I shrugged and started to walk away, but Jun-Seo grabbed my arm and gave me a puppy dog look.

"Why should we help someone who did wrong?" I whispered harshly.
Jun-Seo hesitated for a moment.
"Everyone deserves a second chance."

I practically laughed out loud that I snorted a few times. I think I laughed way too hard or something cause two of the four guys turned to look at us.

Jun-Seo had a pale look on his face. He was scared but he wanted to help.

"What are you pretty boys looking at? Do you know this brat here?" One of the dudes yelled.
Now all four of them were looking at us.

Geez.
Why did I decide to laugh at the wrong moment? And snort too? How unattractive.

"We'll be nice here. Leave now and don't say a word, and we won't hurt you." Another said in a deep, cautious voice, like he's calming a mad tiger or something.

Jun-Seo became tensed and I put an arm on his shoulder. His muscles relaxed as he exhaled slowly and stepped up.
"What seems to be the problem here?" He asked like he was a cop or something.

One of the guys snickered. "Listen here kiddo, we gave you a fucking chance to leave, and you better fucking take it before we bust your ass."
He spat on the ground.

The birds weren't chirping anymore.
Well at least, maybe they were, but we couldn't hear it in this alleyway.
Jun-Seo held his ground, but I could tell he was uncomfortable.
Every two seconds, he would touch the back of his neck slightly as if there was something there.

Like bro, I see you okay?

But thinking of it now, I don't know what I should do in this situation. If we do get into a fight, I'm gonna have to fight them hand on hand and hope that my punches won't knock them out for two years.

Ahh...so complicated.

"You hear us?" A voice barked.

"Sorry but we can't do that." Jun-Seo replied, and I snapped out of my thinking.
Wait what were they talking about?
Goddamit. I always zone out.

"Please...help me." The same wimpy voice said from behind. His voice was so tiny I almost couldn't make out what he was saying.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP." A guy yelled, kicking that dude.
I still couldn't see his face.

Wait...was he already beaten up? I can't even tell.
Cause if he was beaten up, I might consider knocking all of them out for two years.
Maybe, just maybe.
