Harder To Breathe (xvi)

Jimin closed the distance between them by hugging Seulgi.

"I know that you felt it too." Jimin said embracing Seulgi tightly.

"I don't understand." She answered him confusingly.

Jimin confused her. Seulgi doesn't know what he is saying or maybe she was just saying it to hide what she actually felt.

What attraction? Seulgi keeps on acting like she can't feel what Jimin is saying. 

What attraction that they both felt? Is Jimin really attracted to her?

How is it possible?

What just happened? Seulgi almost wanted to laugh about the idea of Park Jimin liking her.

"Seulgi when you are near... It's harder to breathe." And that moment Seulgi realized that she's having a hard time breathing just like what Jimin said.

Not because Jimin is hugging her so tight, that is not the reason why she's short of breath but that is what Seulgi wanted to believe.

Not because Jimin is near. No.

But Park Jimin said was true...they both felt it, Seulgi felt it every time they are near each other, it's like they're both consuming each other breath and energy by just being together.

But Kang Seulgi is still in denial.  She still believes that she is not what and they are not what people think about.

"Jimin." She said his name with a serious tone, it almost sends chilly feeling to Jimin.

"No. Seulgi, tell me what is this?" Jimin knows what is going to happen, he dismissed her rejection and asking her again.

It is the feeling I don't want to know. Seulgi wanted to say but can't.

Jimin is still hugging her like a protecting a bear in a forest fire and she let him hug her.

Minute passed and silence envelopes them until Seulgi decided to break the ice.

This is wrong. Seulgi knows herself that what they have is wrong... That she doesn't want what she's feeling and she's sure Jimin doesn't want it either.

She hated Jimin before and now she's back at hating that certain member of BTS because of what just happened to her life.

It was his fan. His fangirl and his fandom hates her now.

But what is really happening to Seulgi? Why her hate towards him is fading again?

"Please let me go." Seulgi now calmly said. Pleading even, vanished the serious voice and sharp tone.

Then she felt Jimin froze after hearing what she said but Seulgi didn't mind his reaction. She needs to.

She wanted to be cold and unaffected this time. 

"Kang Seulgi." Jimin sadly whispered to her ear, still not letting her go.

Seulgi felt that. She knows Jimin didn't want to her let go because he added more force to tighten the hug.

And honestly Seulgi don't want to end it too but in every aspect she tried to look at it, it's wrong. It is not alright.

Not them. Not with Him. Not an Idol.

"Please Jimin?" Seulgi pleaded again. He needs to let her go. A double meaning plead.

Jimin need to let her go as a whole not just the hug.

She stood there straight. Now with no emotion can see in her face and after that Jimin let her go.

He understand what she meant and the rain also stopped. Like it understand the two of them.

"Let's pretend that it didn't happened. Let's pretend that we didn't see each other.

Don't follow me. Don't call my name. Don't stare at me. Don't go to me.

I will do the same thing and this is for our own good. Please Jimin? Let's pretend that we don't have feelings for each other."

This is the only way Kang Seulgi knows to protect them both especially herself and her heart. It is weak and little emotion she felt can turn into something deeper.

She doesn't want that and as much as possible she will stop herself to be in that level.

Pretending. To just pretend because Seulgi realized once again that it is not just a simple crush because they both dance and sing well or look good and cute at the same time.

It's more than that. It has more.

"Okay." Jimin cold voice is back again just like the first time they talk and it gave her a sudden stop of heart.

It's going to be okay. Seulgi will just pretend that she hates him. That she really detest him just to avoid falling deeply.
