bella's house had only one room illuminated. baby guessed it was her mom that was still awake. well, it was half past eleven at night.

bella unbuckled her seatbelt and sighed. she wasn't looking at baby for half a minute, but then she turned to him. bella opened the door and then leaned out of her seat and did what baby would suspect be the last thing she'd do.

bella kissed baby on the lips and then pulled away. she lingered in front of him for a few seconds before quickly jumping out of the car. bella didn't look over her shoulder while walking up to her house.

baby was quite shocked, you might say. he drove back home slower than usual, thinking about the night's events. baby didn't know what to do.

did bella really mean it when she said she wouldn't mind if baby... kissed her again? well, she didn't show any resistance or protest when he did kiss her. so that would mean bella wasn't lying.

kissing her was bliss. and the skin of her face in baby's hands felt so soft. what had he done? baby was only feeling stronger about her after kissing bella.

did she feel the same way about him? bella couldn't. she and jessie had... literally just done the deed. baby got chills thinking about it. 

but if bella kissed him again before leaving, then... maybe she didn't like baby in that specific way, which was sad. but... all baby could do was find out. get a little confident and ask her, understand what's going on.

baby got home, and knew what he had to do. he took out his phone and went straight to the messages. 

baby: are you still up?

bella albinson: delivered at 12:17pm

bella: yes

baby: i'm picking you up before school tomorrow

bella: read at 12:19pm

baby: we have things to talk about

bella: obviously

bella: okay

bella: goodnight

baby: goodnight

baby: i'll be at your house 7:45

bella: read at 12:26pm

goodnight? not for bella. she couldn't sleep, despite being tired and exhausted as much as a person could be. 

her thoughts were keeping bella up that night, she wanted them to just disappear, stop, shut up. but she couldn't. all these questions bella couldn't yet answer.

did baby feel about her the way bella thought he did? did she go over-board when she kissed him before leaving? why didn't she stop baby when he kissed her? did bella feel that specific way about baby?

was jessie all that bad? what did he tell baby? what was his relation to teresa jones? did jessie know on what terms bella and teresa were? what was his excuse for what bella and baby saw that one saturday?

what was baby trying to say with kissing bella? did he do that just because he could? or because he wanted to? what did bella think about him? what was baby like?

for one, he was awfully cute. then, he was also super mysterious. third, baby was always nice to bella and drove her everywhere, spent time with her, kept her secrets... and baby had almost the same music taste as bella did! which was very important.

now, what was jessie like? he liked playing basketball. jessie was a hardcore party animal, he did drugs and smoked weed. he was always touching bella in some way, even if it was her thigh or arm. jessie rarely asked about how bella felt, didn't listen to her when she talked about her passions. 

jessie always told her she's the one, he told bella they were gonna be together forever. he was showing her off to literally everyone they met, even a bartender. jessie encouraged her or made her drink more than bella would like to. and he was also holding hands with an enemy of bella's.

she instantly knew her... choice? after summing up the two boys. and bella had made two ultimatums for baby and her, their talk tomorrow. because she was confident about what she felt towards both jessie and baby.

and bella knew she could trust baby with the real reason she was with jessie in the first place.
