"you don't wanna watch it anymore?" jessie asked bella. she shook her head.

bella and jessie were at jessie's place, it was a saturday and they were having a movie day. they were lazily laying down on the sofa, jessie holding the remote in his hand.

"sorry, you know i like these kinds of movies, but this one... i don't know." bella said truthfully. jessie sighed quietly and turned off the movie playing. 

"what do you want to watch, then?" he asked bella. she shrugged. 

"action, if you don't mind." bella said. jessie nodded and grinned.

"that's what i like." he said, searching for the right movie. 

"i know." bella replied. she leaned against jessie's shoulder. "can i ask you something? and you can only answer truthfully." she spoke softly, as a new film started to play. 

"go ahead." jessie responded. 

"me and baby were buying your birthday present one saturday and then we were walking around the block a little." bella started to say and she felt jessie getting a little tense. bastard. "and we saw you with teresa jones. you two were holding hands."

jessie sighed.

"and i didn't want to tell you before because it was your birthday's week, you know." bella continued. "but what was that about, jess?"

jessie looked at his hands and then at bella. "we were just spending time together." he said. "she's a friend."

"do friends hold hands?"

"we've had a past." jessie said. his voice sounded strained and nervous and he was fiddling with his fingers a lot while talking. he was lying. "we had a thing, like a year ago, and when we broke up, we decided to stay friends."

bella didn't say anything at first, realising her boyfriend was a liar. what a turn. "are you sure there's nothing more?" she asked quietly.

jessie looked at her. "of course, babe." he said. "you know there's no one i would want over you." he kissed bella. "don't you?"

bella nodded and gave jessie as good of a smile as she could. "i know." she said. "let's just watch the movie."
