she was eating a burrito. the sauce was dripping past the corners of her mouth, making baby chuckle. bella shot him a weird look.

"what?" she asked with her mouth still full. baby laughed. they were sitting alone at a table, it was lunch time.

"your face is smeared with the burrito sauce." baby said, eating his fries. bella widened her eyes and took a tissue to wipe her face. 

"you shouldn't be laughing at me." bella said sternly, but her eyes had a playful look to them. 

"well, i'm sorry." baby said. "but it looked funny, especially if you weren't aware of it."

bella chuckled. "okay." she continued to eat her burrito and then looked down at her phone. "oh, shoot, math's about to start!" bella exclaimed. "let's go?"

"we haven't finished our food." baby stated. 

"'s alright. we'll finish it while we're going." 

"isn't that forbidden?"

"what? eating in hallways?" bella wiggled her eyebrows and then shrugged. baby rolled his eyes, but grinned. 

"let's go, then." baby said and took his lunch in his right hand, and then threw his backpack over his left shoulder. 

bella walked close to baby, holding a coffee in one hand and her borrito in the other. baby had noticed she never touched that coffee, hadn't taken a sip from it. he wondered why.

the two were only two feet away from math class when someone shouted bella's name and they stopped walking. bella and baby turned around and saw jessie standing a mere meter away from them.

baby had no reaction, he was only waiting for what jessie or bella would say to each other. bella said nothing, yet.

"babe, you know i love you." jessie said. baby hoped no one turned and brought their attention to this sad, miserable teenager. "we... we can try again."

bella laughed. "no, thanks." she said with a sarcastic smile and then turned back around to walk into math class. but she suddenly stopped and turned to her ex again, just as jessie spoke up.

"c'mon, you couldn't turn down me." he said. "we had such fun together." he tried giving bella a hopeful smile. 

she pressed her burrito to baby's chest and he took it in his left hand, so it wouldn't make a stain on his shirt. now people were starting to stare at the whole situation. 

bella walked up to jessie with the coffee in her hand, stopped abruptly and spoke very sternly:

"the only fun memory i have that involves you is this moment." 

as jessie was apparently waiting on her to kiss him, bella took off the lid of her coffee cup and dumped the cup on jessie's head. she took a step back so her clothes or skin wouldn't get wet or dirty by the coffee.

baby suppressed his laughter and only grinned wide, but then bent his head down so nobody would see. jessie finally got what he deserved. 

the young boy was shocked, and gasped. then he screamed so loud baby thought the whole school would be able to hear. bella was quick to get back to baby and retrieve her burrito from him. 

jessie's screaming died down and he was just panting. by the time baby and bella had finally reached the door to math class, jessie talked again.

"whatever, you're just like everyone else. except two things." he said. "first, not everyone dumps their boyfriend and goes for his best friend." bella and baby froze at those words. does he really know? about me and bella? "and second, not everyone is a virgin." 

bella immediately dragged baby inside math class and shut the entrance door loudly. the whole class and the teacher were looking at them both with annoyance and slight shock. the teacher urged them to take a seat and so baby and bella did.

they sat at their usual desk for the next two classes without speaking a word to each other. baby wanted to say a lot, but he didn't know what exactly. he knew bella didn't want to say anything. and baby understood.
