bella was mad. her hair was a little messy, it looked like she slept with that ponytail. she was wearing a grey hoodie. and her face didn't seem to shimmer anymore, like it did saturday. and her eyebrows looked a little lighter than on saturday. she's not wearing make-up?

bella was sitting between baby and jessie, but she had scooted closer to baby, despite jessie's arm around her shoulders. she looked uncomfortable.

everyone at the table was talking about jessie's birthday party this weekend. it was going to be so epic, a two-day party, so many people, and things like that. and suddenly, the bell disrupted all conversations in the lunch room.

baby stood up, as did all the others at the table, and they all walked out of the cafeteria and then went each in their own direction. baby had physics, so he started to walk in the direction of his needed classroom. he didn't get far, jessie and bella stopped him.

"hey, man." jessie said. "listen, do you want to get something to eat after school? i gotta talk to you, man to man." oh, you're no man. baby nodded. "alright, meet me after school."

baby nodded again and turned back around to continue walking to physics. he heard bella and jessie talking behind him.

"what's wrong with you today? you seem angry." jessie said.

"i don't want to talk about it now." bella responded and then sighed. "your birthday is tomorrow and i feel like if i tell you, i'd ruin everything." baby grinned.

"okay..." jessie said in a doubtful tone, and baby couldn't hear anymore of what either of them would say. they were too far behind baby.

the rest of the classes all baby could think about was what jessie wanted to talk to him about. it could be something he wanted to keep from bella, that's for sure, he wanted to talk to baby alone. could it be what baby and bella saw on saturday? something about bella? he'd sure find out soon.

they were at blue benn again. it seemed like it was jessie's favorite place to be, if not the school's stadium. he always ordered the same things, only today they were twice as more. jessie was stressed.

"listen, i gotta tell you something." jessie said after biting almost half of his burger off. "it's very confidential, you can't tell anyone." baby almost scoffed. who have i got to tell? but he nodded.

"me and bella... i don't-i've never felt strongly about her." jessie confessed. bless! baby almost jumped up from his chair. i knew it! "i thought that... it would just be nice for her, because i knew her before we started dating, and i knew she'd never had a boyfriend. so i thought it'd be nice of me to be her first."

unbelievable. why her, jessie? bella was completely under his charm, but jessie just used it for his own good.

"and i had already started going out with teresa weeks before i met bella at that party." jessie said and hung his head low. "teresa's so much better than bella, we have much more mutual interests." jesus christ, how can you say that about a person?

"do you know how bella and teresa know each other?" baby asked jessie. he nodded.

"yeah, i-i know they hate each other." jessie admitted. oh my god, jessie. "but i just can't-they're both okay, but teresa is more okay than bella, and i feel stronger about her."

"when are you planning to tell bella?" baby asked.

"i don't know. but that's why i had to talk to you, baby." jessie replied, looking at baby with sorry eyes. "you're the only one i can trust. what would you do? if you were in my situation."

i wouldn't have started it, for one, baby wanted to say. "i'd tell bella as soon as possible." baby said instead. "but it's your life, so you should decide yourself." he then stated. "i think... you should follow your heart." baby added, quoting a movie he saw on tv recently.

jessie laughed at that and clapped baby's shoulder. "thanks for that, man." he said. "you're such a good friend."
