Anyway, back to the story.

Chapter 32

My stomach dropped. I can not believe Linda had done that. Why was she trying to get us caught? Was she been planning this all along? And she had caused this, because he's currently standing behind me; he's been waiting for this moment for a while and now he has his chance.

I turn around and I'm met with Ivan who wore a goofy grin. I was pissed off with him, but not as much as I would've been, I'm just more grateful he wasn't my father.

He bursts out laughing. "You should have seen your face!"

I pushed him and crossed my arms with a pout. "That was not funny Ivan." I grumbled.

"But it really was." He continued laughing.

"For that, you're sleeping on the couch tonight." Inform him.

He pouts "You're taking over my own bed?"

I nod. "Now we need to go now."

I turned around to my mother who wore a panicky look. "I'm sorry. I will come to visit you. I promise." Tears welled up in my eyes.

I couldn't hold it in any longer. This was wearing me out. I didn't want to leave her at all. She's deadly sick and I want to be the one to take care of her.

She got off of her bed abruptly. Her shoulders slouched. I know if she got off the bed and tried to walk she'd tumble down.

She grabs my hand and pulls me to the bed. She wasn't strong enough to pull, so I had to walks her. She sighs and fiddled with her fingers. "I'm coming with you Ivory."

"You can't. You need to stay here and get better, if you leave her, it will lower the chances of you being able to live this." I reasoned with her.

There was no way I was letting her leave. She is too ill to be leaving the hospital and she knows that.

"I'm coming with you. I'm on my last bit of life and I want to spend it with you. I want to try and make up all the times, I haven't been there for you." She says tear-eyes, getting emotional.

"Mom." I sigh. "I don't think this is a good idea." My voice quivering.

If she stays, she could get better and we'll have plenty of time to make up for the past or she'll get worse and she'll spend the last of her life in the hospital, but if she comes she has a bit of life left and we can make up for some stuff, but we don't know how much longer she'll have.

"Well I'm not letting you go without me. You stay here until your dad comes or we can get out of here." She says already changing into her normal clothes.

She already knew what the answer was going to be. She's got me trapped, I wasn't just going to leave her and try and escape and I really don't want my father to find me. So I guess we're taking her with us.

"This isn't a good idea." I say helping her pack up the things.

"Well I don't have much longer to live, so I want to spend it the best way possible." She says with a victory smile. "And besides, being in the hospital actually sucks. I always get a strong breeze to the behind with there clothes. They make a lot of money, don't you think they should get clothes without holes, or with a back." She complains.

I laugh. "Mother, they need it like that. It makes their job easier when the patient has loose clothing."

She shrugs. "Whatever I hate it. Let's go now!" She says cheerfully and skips out the door.
