Chapter 52
I tilted my head in confusion. "What do you mean babe?" I turn my back the other way; so we were now face to face.
He didn't have it. He twisted me around and lifted my shirt to see my back again. "Can you just tell me what is on my back?" I groaned. A draft was hitting my back and making me shiver.
"You have massive claw marks on your back. They start at your neck and travel to your lower back." Alex announces.
Where could they be from? "Are they deep?" Because if they're, I hope I don't have to get stitches.
"Deeper than I anticipated." Ivan says, studying my back.
"Do they hurt?" He asks and his finger connects with the wound. I didn't feel any sort of pain what-so-ever.
"Nope."
"Well I think we should put some sort of ointment on it. Don't want it to get infected." He says and grabs a tube filled with cream out of the cabinet. He applies it to my back.
"Are we good?"
He chuckles. "You're so impatient. Now we're done." He says doing the finishing touches.
I turn around and surprise him with a kiss to the lips. "I've got to go. Hazel do you want to come with me to the mall?"
Her face lights up. She opened her mouth to talk, but my father interrupted. "Excuse me. Are you trying to take my maid away from me?"
"Well yes. I need her to come shop with me. I think you'll be fine without her for a couple hours."
He just chuckled. "Don't worry, I don't really care. Go have fun you too." He waves us off.
I just shrug. Hazel chuckles at my father and gets up and washes her plate. I grab my purse and my keys. I wait outside for hers she appears after a couple minutes.
"What took so long?"
"Ivan was telling me to watch over you." She shrugs.
I laugh. "Of course he would do that. Ready to go?"
She smiles and nods. Skipping to the car. "So why'd you ask me to go?"
I shrugged. "You're the only girl in the house. I knew you'd want to go."
"Just want to get out for a bit?"
I nod my head. "Yeah. I really do. I haven't done anything besides business all week, I swear."
I revved the engine on my car and reversed quickly down the driveway. Nearly hitting a car on my way out. They honk at me aggressively. I mutter curse words under my breath.
Hazel stays silent and turns on the radio. A good song comes on and we start singing to it. Laughing and having fun. I turn the into a busy highway.
I was lucky with all the green lights I've been getting. I'm nearly at the mall when I get to another light, it's red so I start slowing down, but it turns green before I was able to fully stop. I begin driving again. A car perpendicular to me, didn't stop and kept driving the red light.
All I heard were horns honking in the distance until the same car rams into the side of my car, in the middle of the intersection. The lights blinded my eyes a split second before it happens. My head smashes against my steering wheel. My front window explodes into millions of pieces from the impact.
I saw Hazel fly through the open window, I hadn't even realized she didn't have her seat belt on. I saw that at the last minute until I blacked out. The last thing I heard was the screams of worried people around me.
