Chapter 42

"Go get her!" I shouted pushing Alex out of the door. He stumbled in response, but kept running.

I tagged along with him and we sped all the way there, I was so determined that I didn't bother noticing the burning feeling in my legs.

We had finally spotted her and she turned into this house down the street. "Isn't that an abandoned house?" I questioned Alex.

He nodded his head. "It's the one I was talking about."

That freaks me out, how could a young girl go in there willingly and alone? I would be too petrified to enter the building. Yet again, she has been communicating with them for a while now.

I hesitated before I walked in the house. I heard whispering happening and the when my foot creaked against the floor board, it all went silent.

"Leave now!" I heard Tope yell. She was standing at the top of the staircase and dangling off the railing.

"Tope get down here! We need to take you home!" I shouted back, very frustrated.

"They're getting angry Ivory! You have to leave, you entered without permission."

"Well so did you." I pointed out.

"But I'm well known here and I'm allowed here, you're not." She bragged.

"Stop you two! We've need to go now!" Alex interrupted our feud.

"She's right behind you guys and she's not happy." She announces.

I jump forwards and turn towards the door, the area I had been previously facing. "I don't see her.."

"She's scared and angry, she doesn't tend to show herself when she's feeling that way." She announces.

I took small steps forward and started waving my hand in the air to feel anything. My body froze when my hand connected with something. I took immediate steps backwards.

"You just touched her butt.. she's really angry." Tope says.

Seconds later, I hear glass break behind me. I nearly jump out of my skin petrified. I felt something come over me and I lost all control of my limbs. It slammed my against the wall multiple times and repeatedly. I vouched against the wall as if I were a ping pong ball.

I screamed for help, Tope and Alex looked petrified. Alex ran up the stairs and grabbed Tope, when he got back down he grabbed my hand, something was pulling me back; but they weren't as strong as Alex was. The force was constant, until we walked out of the door and hit sunlight.

I felt relief and something fly out of me. I dropped to my knees, I was trembling with fear. I was shaking so badly, I couldn't control it.

"Ivory we need to go!" Alex shouts above Tope, who was squealing about how she needed to be with her friends.

I get up quickly and run alongside Alex. We finally reach the destination and my legs and arms felt so weak. I had successfully made it to the couch before I collapsed.

My eyes were threatening to close, I heard arguing in the kitchen and Alex seems repulsively mad, which I understandable.

Tope needs to get a therapist of some sort. This is not normal and it's affecting everyone around her for instant, I'm one hundred percent positive I'm going to have bruises all over my body, from the thing that had controlled me and slammed me against the walls.

It got silent for a while and I was left to my own thoughts, I had a lot of awful ones that I didn't want to think about.

The black seemed to be getting closer and closer, any second now I'd be taken over to the mysterious black fog.
