Chapter 64
Ivory's P.O.V
I woke up to the sounds of the birds chirping excitedly and the soft sound of Ivan's snoring, it seems weird but it's kind of reassuring, because I know he's there and breathing.
I decided to take a shower. I let the waterfall tap sprinkle on me. Yesterday had been so successful. Today is where the show starts, it didn't yesterday because we had been so busy. The faces of the excited children had been stuck in my mind. Also the fact my mother came home and she's surprised me.
I turn off the tap and rush to get the colder, try and beat to the warmth, before the cold can get to you.
I put on a simple pair of shorts and just a black long sleeve shirt. I head back into the room and notice Ivan's still asleep. I shook him a little bit, but he didn't stir. So I decided to place an alarm on his phone, which happens to be right beside his head. The alarm was sent for fifteen more minutes of sleep until he had to wake up.
I placed the phone silently on the nightstand and walked down to the kitchen, where my mom and Father were sitting and sipping on a nice cup of coffee, while they caught up. I noticed my father's hand was placed on my mothers and it warmed me. The smile he had on his face was precious.
I smile at walk up to them. "Hello mother." I say and kiss her cheek and then I turn towards my father. "Hello Father." I said and kiss his cheek.
I take a seat beside my mother at the table. "What are you guys doing?"
She went to open her mouth, but I held my finger up. "Hold that thought. I need coffee." I get up and go to the coffee maker and pour myself a cup. I put some milk in it and a teaspoon of sugar.
I sit back down and take a sip of the coffee. My tastebuds danced happily. I placed it down and looked at them intently. "Alright, now tell me what's going on."
They exchanged looks and my father nodded to her. I scrunched my face in confusion. They know what each other are thinking, that's really cute. She smiled to me and grabbed my hands in hers. "Okay, so first off; before I tell you this, I know you might not be a fan off our decision, but I really want this and I'm sure you're going to happy for me, because you always are." She smiled warmly at me.
I smiled at both of them, my face still evident with confusion. "Alright, now I'm very confused. Get to the good stuff mother."
They looked at each other and whispered a count down. Three, two, one. And they looked at me intensely. "We're getting married!" They shout.
My jaw dropped. I had not been expecting this. Tears made their way to my eyes, but happy ones. "Does this mean, you aren't sick anymore?"
She nodded her head. "I'm one hundred percent clear." She smiled at me.
I got up from the table and wrapped my arms around both of them. "Gosh, I'm so excited for you guys." We hug for a while. I pull apart and head back to my seat
"So when are you thinking to have the wedding? Some time next year?"
They shook their head. "We're having it in a week. We want it as soon as possible."
"Really?" I say not convinced. "But don't you want the perfect wedding mother? that takes a while." I stated.
"Yes, but I had that years ago with him." She gripped onto his arm and they smiled at each other. She turned back towards me. "So we just want a simple short one, to basically renew our vows, sort of."
I nodded my head and took a small sip of my coffee. I held the mug in between my hands for warmth. "Yeah I guess. It makes sense."
Their faces lit up. "So you're okay with it?" My father asks me.
