Chapter 54

Ivory's P.O.V

A scream escaped my mouth as I felt myself falling down the hill. Butterflies erupted my stomach. You know the feeling where you're going down a roller coaster? Yeah, that's how it feels like right now, but I know If I don't wake up, I might be dead after this.

Whenever I'm on a roller coaster, I tend to scream to try and get rid of the tingles in my stomach. Right now I'm screaming from fright and this tingles aren't even going away.

The closer and closer we got, the more frightened at the same time. I'm just grateful for when I hit the bottom, I'm going to wake up; probably full of sweat and I'll have to take a shower and clean all my sheets, but I'll walk up and that's the most important right?

What will Alex think about, when I tell him I talked to his sister. He'll probably think I'm Wacko and out of my mind. How am I able to see her and talk to her? I'm not dead.. at least I don't think so...

The tripe ended and we hit the ground. I immediately waited for the pain. Clenching my eyes shut tightly. I waited and waited but it never came.

I open my eyes and I'm in topes room again. She stood there with a smile on her face. "Welcome to the family Ivory. Let's get you to meet mommy and daddy."

I was still shocked. How did I get here? And why am I not awake? Is she correct? Am I actually dead? I swear I've dreamt times and times again where I've jumped off a cliff, I wake up and breath heavily, but I don't just continue the dream.

I pull on her arm and she turns around confused. "Am I actually dead?"

She nods her head. "We both are. We have each other now Ivory."

I'm beyond disappointed. It seems so surreal it's beyond belief. I still have this thought in my mind that I'm going to wake up, but the more time I spend here; the less I think that.

"Can we get you to meet mommy and daddy now? Please." She begged. She jumped up and down impatiently.

"Fine, let's go meet them." She smiled and jumps with excitement. She drags me along. She's very strong for a young child, I've noticed.

We get out of the room and walk down a hallway. There's plenty of rooms on either side. "I met all of mommy's friends. They were spirits then, but now I can see them all clearly." She says.

I nod my head. Not really listening, I'm focusing on how real this is. I'm dead. There's no way I'm not dead. I didn't feel any pain on that drop, like I had expected to. I didn't wake up after that traumatizing jump, I mean what else could be happening right now?

We stopped at a door and she knocked. She waited patiently with her hands cupped together.

We waited and waited for what seemed like many minutes. She's knocked multiple times by now. No one has answered yet. She pouted. "Must not be in there. I know where they will be though." She announced excitedly and skipped down the hall. This is the longest hall I've ever seen. I've counted about 20 rooms by now.

We arrive at a spiral staircase. She grabs my hand unexpectedly. "Be careful, I've fallen on my face multiple times."

I choke down a laugh. She was so serious about it. We walk down the stairs at reach a new level. We head straight for what seems like the kitchen. I walk in and I see two people standing there.

A women, late thirties or forties was cooking on the stover and she had her back to us. Then a guy sat on a chair near the Island. He was reading a magazine with an island on the front of it. Is this some sort of joke?
