Sara's POV:
It had been 4 weeks I'd come out if hospital and we were due in court next Tuesday with the guy who ran into us, he was a drunk driver so he hadn't a leg to stand on, well... neither had I.
Staying with the boys was fun, just like old times, my pain meds had been reduced so I wasn't as sleepy and I was actually getting around a lot better.
"Hey" I smiled as I rolled my way over to George who was sat on the sofa, "sleep alright?" He asked me, I nodded in response, I shuffled from my wheelchair and onto the sofa beside him, "I can't wait to get these off" I said looking at the casts on my legs, "I can't wait to get rid of that squeaky thing" George gestured to my wheelchair without looking up from his phone, I glanced over his shoulder quietly and remained silent for a moment. "Who you talking to?" I sang playfully and smirked at him, "none of your business" he replied in the same singing voice I had just asked him in, I chuckled, "come on. Who is it?" I smiled at him, "just someone I've been chatting with" George shrugged, "male or female" Sara smirked, "they will remain a genderless blob until further notice" George chuckled, I nodded in defeat. Then we were silent, I could just hear him tapping away at his phone and notice he kept smirking to himself. I tried my best to see his screen without looking too obvious.
"Lauren, that's a pretty name" I spoke up smirking after finally seeing the name on his phone, George exhaled heavily and looked at me with fed up eyes. "So who is she?" I smiled at him, "just someone I met a couple months ago" he shrugged whilst continuing to type, "months!? You kept that to yourself" I scoffed and folded my arms, "that was the idea" he nodded, "so when can I meet her?" I asked him unfolding my arms, "you've literally just found out about her and you're all so intimidating you'll scare her off" George sighed, "well let me meet her then" I shrugged, "you're the scariest one" he chuckled, "please" I said giving him puppy dog eyes, "only if she wants to I'll ask her" he nodded before turning back to his phone.
"She said she'd love to meet you" George sighed sadly, "hey people love to meet me" I said sternly, "yes then they instantly regret it" he smirked. "So what are you guys like just what you an I did or like boyfriend girlfriend?" I asked, "first of all, I'd love if you didn't bring the you and I thing up for more than just the one reason, second. The words boyfriend and girlfriend may have been tossed around on the odd occasion" he smirked and I squealed with excitement, "awh, it'll be so cute seeing you together" I said with excitement, he smiled. "Please don't tell the others I can't stand me being the centre of attention right now"he sighed, "really? I love being centre of attention" I shrugged, "we haven't noticed" George smirked sarcastically.
George's POV:
The next day I got changed and headed out early to meet Lauren, I wanted to give her a pre-warning about Sara and how overly excited she may or may not get.
I met her at the nearby Starbucks, when I saw her I smiled and kissed her lips, "it's good to see you" I said happily, "you too, I've missed you, it's been a while" she smiled at me, "I know I'm sorry I've just been so busy an-" "George, don't panic I know you have a lot going on and I respect that, anyway you're here now and I'm excited to meet your friend" she smiled at me, "yeah about Sara, well... she's nuts, so apologies in advance" I chuckled, she joined. "I'm sure she's just looking out for you, my friend is actually a big fan of her music" she told me with a nod. "You not a fan?" I chuckled, "I've never really been big on female artists" she shrugged, "I wouldn't say that to her though" she chuckled, "she's in a wheelchair she can't chase you" I said causing us both to laugh.
I saw Sara arriving... with Nate. When I say alone I mean alone. "I thought I told you to be alone" I said to her sternly, "Nate's just here to roll me around" she chuckled, "hey I'm Sara" Sara said with a smile holding her hand out for Lauren to shake, "Lauren" she smiled shaking Sara's hand, "This is Nate he's my helper" Sara chuckled, "helper, partner, slave" Nate shrugged shaking Lauren's hand, "oh are you together" Lauren asked with a smile, "it's complicated" I sighed, "shall we get something then" Sara said as Nate wheeled her to the counter, "how complicated?" Lauren whisper to me smiling, "all the time in the world would not be enough time to tell you how complicated" I chuckled back to her.
We were sat having our drinks when the rest of our clan appeared in starbucks. Drew, Levi, Austin, Beth, Mia, Reece and Blake. I grumbled "which of you told them to come here" I said looking to Sara and Nate, "they just so happened to arrive that's all" Sara shrugged, "I chose here because I know how little they come here" I told her raising my brow, "George we live around here it's not against the law to come to Starbucks" Sara told me smirking. "Hello, didn't think we'd see you here" Drew smiled at us, "I bet you didn't" I grumbled under my breath, "George who's your friend" Reece smirked, "Lauren this is Reece, Blake, Drew, Levi, Austin, Mia and Beth, everyone this is Lauren" I pointed them all out and grumbled under my breath. "Hi" she smiled at them.
We all chatted and they all interviewed Lauren, she didn't seem as uncomfortable as I was, I was glad she was getting to know my friends but barging in here uninvited was rude and they would all be getting a telling off when we got home.
